Just leave the Ys alone. If you have to ask that means you don’t know how so don’t do it

Alot of changes and one year only things.. grind weld repeat. Fire wall forward. Seriously. Focus on the back and make it roll and use it the best you can. Fronts can be good but they require cheating and pushing the rules

The rears blow apart I’ve had 2 of them back when we didn’t do anything to them.

Building my first y-framer. I've read through all 58 pages probably five times. A lot of great info on here if you take the time to read! My question is in my rules it states I can run my full cradle with trans brace butted against firewall or no cradle with two kickers off the main cage to frame behind a-arms. Which in your opinion is the better option? 73 new yorker limited weld. Allowed to seem welded a-arms forward, weld suspension solid, plate y's, hump plates, and flat stack. Oh and which is better chaining humps or using threaded rod to keep the humps down. Allowed to do either.

The kickers can help keep down on the movement. Mine moved alot and ripped the frame and atleast 3 to 4 places in the rail on the nose. I've bent all thread shocks I've never had a chain let me down.

I too would prefer kickers, ties the nose to the cage a lot better, keeps the floor and firewall from moving around so much I do feel like this build will swing left or right at the aarms hard tho with any side shot

I've seen a few but never once had a mopar shift on me.. Dumb luck maybe

Don’t forget your floorboard & torsion bars Protectors Actually though..if you have access plate your floors tie it into rockers then take anothwr floor from a car and double your floors..just saying then add mounts into your sub and can hide the bolts and stiffens the uni body in my opinion mopars are best one run kinda cars. They don't have enough to run heats and feature but they have been good to me just always seem to be to hard on them

I'd thought about running my cradle against firewall and then running my main cage all the way against the fire wall on the inside butted right to the dp. Then I can run plates on my floor where the body mounts come up with 1" all thread then welding main cage to that. But may just toss the cradle for this one and run the kickers. Thanks for all the comments.
