Anyone just weld a nut on back of there transmission when running a slider? Sounds odd but there is nothing to tap on my th350. Its like someone didn't install something correctly, its just a hole.

Buy a 3/8 fine thread tap, should say what drill bit to use, I believe it's 27/64. Center mark shaft, I usually put tape drill bit at 1 1/4 deep. Make sure ur taps straight going in. It's pretty easy, just keep everything straight 3G here's some info you passed up.

But where you would normally tap the transmission is just a hole..there is nothing there to tap.

Theyre big and slow shifting....if I ran manual it's probably what I would choose only down I can see is how low rev is so might have to run a higher gear than normal in the rear end

Has anyone ever ran a th350c transmission in a derby? Are they just like a normal th350?

If you're headers aren't cherry red by the end of the night then you didn't try/hit hard enough,

Maybe one of ya ran into this. Asking before I do what I usually do and jump in and risk screwing up a part. Got a 375 ready to go and rebuilt. Putting on a yoke for slider and it’s looking like it won’t go through the rear main seal. Do I run the bolt through and tighten it down (force through seal) do I swap seal with a th400 seal? Other 400s I’ve had yoke goes right in so I wondered if I missed something.

If I remember correctly, the turbo 375 has the same output shaft as the turbo 350.Its the internals' that are 400.

Any thoughts on running the converter locked up on the gm 4l60e vs not locked ?
The 4L60 is in a pretty heavy car with 489's by the way.

I am pretty sure that it wont lock up until 3rd gear, unless you block the valve in the pump. But then it wont idle in gear, would be just like engaging the clutch in a manual without moving
