Might already have been somewhat answered on here before, but quick question. 78 Seville...bonestock type rules but allowed to start with 2, 4"x4"x1/4" patch plates. Where do you put them? Horns, Firewall, humps?
Thanks in advance

No much talk on the bubble top caddy 93-96 anyone run them much You don't see them too often as they really didn't make many of them. It's less than 100k total between 93-96. But in the ones I've seen run, they look good. They're built on the GM D platform, similar to the 80's Electras, Olds 98s, and box Caddys.

This ones a few years old but rolled perfect out back tight with rear window fairly stock build to much heat welding on bumper frame tore behind bumper welds. (Hard nosed and was not allowed bumper brackets) steering box was at 90° straight down ran it the last 15 min with no steering, 2nd place. Was my first 80s caddy ran a couple 77-79 2 doors and i greatly prefer them but easy builds just pick your shots evenly get that back bumper doing its thing before anyone takes a shot to ruin it then its just fine.

These aren't like a mopar or wagon where you can keep the leaf/frame sticking out and mess people up. They will go down and bend all weird. I'd keep it at a normal derby height and ya tape the leafs if you want. Maybe weld under the tape first. Can you bolt the sub in any better? Or if it's clean you should be ok. I think they would be a good stock car.

But was trying to make the back bend between the rear leaf mount and where the bumper shock ends.

Cant find the afters but was tilted and seam welded in front of A arms and humps were peened our local stock class. Back nice to back window and front pushed straight back and the monte bumper started curling down as they always do but frame didnt move up or down.

I always let them curl seems to help the horns on these metrics id rather wreck the bumper than the frame.

Anyone ever had any luck putting a pointy on a late 70s (77-79) caddy? How did the frame rails hold up?
