Local show won't allow 77-79 caddy's in there 80 class anymore bc I've won with both of mine back to back. With that being said is it worth finding an 80s caddy or go with 03 n newer with smw saddle.

That's always an option just gotta find one. Seems alot of guys are going with the 03^ to the show. Curious if the caddys will still hold up. Still have to use the rack n pinion set up tho.

Caddy won’t hold up even with 03s having racks. We have guys around here that were willing to run Ford engines in em because rules used to be brand on brand.
Your one good end won’t outlast their 2 good ends

findlay326 What class are you running it in? A 78 eledorado has almost nothing in common with a 77-96 "metric". The 78 Eldorado was last year of the fullsize "old iron" of them. Ive seen a couple ran that really werent built at all and they did decent.

Anyone got a good look at hearse frame in 80s to know how much is different? I know the section in floors with rollers I heard add a lot of strength to body since the roof is all fiberglass but wasn't sure if it's got any true structure under the fiberglass like a wagon or if it was like a sedan bod also.
