Who knows stuff about the diesel package?? Just found out my wagon has this. Any help would be appreciated! What motor are you going to run? Im building a 82 diesel right now. If your swapping to a SBC, give Monster transmission a call for your adapter plate. The 200r4 in these are supposed to be a beast cause their geared low, but I have never ran one so well see. I'm running a stockish sbc with a 700r4. No diesel stuff for me but the frame.

Ive yet to see, read, or hear about there being anything different about a disel frame vs a gas frame other than height/rate of the springs.

Is there anything that you can tighten on the a arms or spindles to make the front end stiffer suspension wise? Or am I just blowing smoke?

Or am I just blowing smoke? can pull the shims between the a-arm tower and the bar for upper a-arm and suck it down tight. does a couple different things for ya...3/4 socket and the shims are shaped like a C so just pry open and knock them out and tighten them back up. PB blast the threads for a bit first so you don't break them off. Otherwise just have to put a new bolt in there...

Cut the piece that sticks out under a arm that rubber bump stop hits. That gives you another inch. Next thing is swap spindles

I have an 83 Caprice wagon, what are you guys doing with the rear quarter panels?!? Especially where the spare tire sits down in the inside quarter panel.

Hey guys.....new guy here. The shop wants to build a chain and go. One guy has a rebuilt 350 with cam so engine is done. One guy has a 89 caprice classic wagon. I have the ability to weld the cage so team effort. What do we do with this car being it's really newer than what most run I've seen. Anything helps. Pretty basic rules.....not much we can do....cant even weld on bumpers. Lol factory rear end.
