Can you get away with pulling good up a hair above notch and can you change body mount bolts in back? How can bumper and tailgate be held on?? I can use 4 chains for tailgate and 2 chains for bumper. Plus the original bolts.

Dimple the frame with body off then sit body on an it will be sprung. I did it on a wagon. An one hit went right to where o sprung it. Can't prebend frame.

Id double dimple, remove the gate, mount the bumper high as possible, run tall stiff springs, dimple the roof and 1/4s, and cut all the braces in the trunk floor. Just an opinion.

It's not prebend when u put body on is what I'm saying. Since body isn't bent it pushes frame back straight but the frame is sprung to go right back.

You can dimple the underside reinforcement structure so it has a place to give.

tell them someone lifted it with a fork lift through the rear window and messed up my roof and i was pissed... Yes notch 18 inch from rear mount. If you can mount rear bumper good i would otherwise throw away and no tailgate and cut out the bracing pretty much like stromi said...

I've never dimpled before, I've always notched. Is there a significant difference in the outcome?

Do what you are comfortable with.

So double notch where the frame goes down and 18 from bumper and notch the window areas as best as I can. Cut as much bracing as I can. I'm going to run the rear bumper just to keep the frame rails from doing wacky things. And pray a lot

I just dimpled mine due to how I was prebend in it then had notched it at arch at derby after heat.

make sure rear bumper is high then or angle it up. the bumper getting cleared is a big factor in these going down...

Another quick question for you all. My rules are now allowing you to weld the bumper on. They seem pretty open on how you do it. I cannot however tilt or seemweld the frame. They just don't allow you to add metal. I am thinking that hardnosing it is going to be the best option. Let me know what ideas you have.

If so make sure and use the shock too if you hard nose. A little trimming and some pounding and you can get it in there pretty far then weld it end of frame and then weld bumper to the frame/bumper shock plate!
