Everyone notchs theirs different we notch ours where the frame angles down with about 2inch long notch then just a torch with at hump. Heres a pic we also hammer in the sides of our notchs. Just something we prefer to do on our notchs. Then we cut wagon floor bigger than the notch bc it's so strong Why so far up the frame?

I personally like to cut the frame where it bends down and reverse tilt it ... Pull it up to level weld it back up and then do your dimples or notches whichever you prefer I'll post a pic once I get a chance to show how mine looks now as it's getting ready to go for run #5 next weekend

Ok kinda stumped... ive always run gm cars but never a wagon... had a few questions.. in my rules i can weld the top seam a arms forward and 12 in behind..can remove body mounts and shorten the frame i Front but can not relocate the core support mount.. now where im stuck is.. do i shorten the frame and hard nose and do i remove fire wall bushings or will it cause it to be to strong at bumper and firewall and cause it to bent at steering box?.. and help would be much appreciated!

So I've read all 30 some pages of this and gathered a lot of info, but still have some questions for you guys. My rules are bone stock(no pre bending, no wedging, creasing, or leading) what do I do with the tailgate and bumper? Plan on double notching. Also what rearend is in a 1985 Buick Wagon? Thanks in advance!

Can you get away with pulling good up a hair above notch and can you change body mount bolts in back? How can bumper and tailgate be held on??

Dimple the frame with body off then sit body on an it will be sprung. I did it on a wagon. An one hit went right to where o sprung it.
