Are all W bodies equal? It seems I hear more about luminas than any of the others. Is that because they are a bit better than the rest of the W's? If so, why?
2 door vs. 4 door. Any difference?

I don't know about better or worse, but the Lumina's are more common than the others.

yeah, same cars just more luminas were built than anything else.
I was thinking the 2 doors were tougher but im starting to notice a 4 door ive got is holding together better in front of the rear axle than the 2 doors.

This question probably applies to all newer cars, but since I am most interested in the W bodies, I'll leave the question under this thread...... how do the aluminum wheels hold up compared to steel wheels? I'm thinking specifically about the lumina wheels, but I'm guessing that all aluminum wheels are going to be as good (or as bad) as any other aluminum wheels. If you had 4 aluminum and 4 steel laying there, which would you put on the car?

Cavalier/Sunbird versus a W body..... if they are built apples to apples and driven the same, which will be the winner? (this may be in the wrong thread, but I want to hear specifically from the W body guys. that is why it is here.)

The sheer 800 pound difference is kind of a give-away.

No this is not quit true the 4 dr Grand Prix, Olds Cutlass and I'm not sure if the others are not for sure and if the 2 drs are but these have a piece of crap fiberglass leaf spring that run in the center of the rear axle and the Luminas do not.

The older luminas have the fiberglass leaf also.

I would say yes. I say far far away from cars. When these cars drop the ends of the springs past the keepers and they do the assends drop right to the ground... or if you get the axel assemblies out of newer Luminas and put them in these cars...
