Well, I see opinions both ways. How hard wouls it be to swap a hefty steel leaf in it's place. I wouldn't ask if the car weren't far, far away. I can't just go out & look at it..

I've never run a compact of any kind. Only full size. So this is possibly a stupid question.... some guys run DOT tires and some run pretty aggressive tread on the front (like the picture above). Do the factory axles withstand the extra torque that is put on them from the more aggressive tread, or do you have to reinforce or switch out the factory axles with something else? Anything else that needs to be considered before running aggressive tires on these cars as opposed to DOT tires? Thanks

i have never had a problem with running non dot tires but i run 5.00-15s doubled and tubed on spare rims i have never run skid steer tires on the front like some guys do they are alot heaver than the 5.00-15s i run but make sure your axles are good no rips in boots no noises ect. just make sure to have some extra room around the struts they can bend and if your tires are to big or wide they will rub the strut when they bend thats why i run the skinnys

I can't just go out & look at it.. dont think it would help the spring doesnt bend or break its just not held in well the whole rear susp. setup is weak but it works most of the time these cars are hard enough in the nose you dont need to hit with the back

I'll probably just leave it alone then. This one is getting put together far from home. I just want all my ducks in a row when gathering supplies to send down to it.

Where can I plate, weld or add kickers on these cars,semi-outlaw? Also I'm very green on wiring of these cars, what needs to stay and what can go, wire-wise? Also is there a shut off switch somewhere in the rear of these cars that needs removed???

Whats the best way to do the trunks on a 93 lumina, do you notch the, sub frame, and should i tuck the trunk?? Tuck the trunk and move the rear bumper bar up five inches, by removing it and putting the bottom bolts in the top holes and drilling four new holes for the top bolts. This method works on all compacts because it puts all the pressure on the top of the frame, thus causing it to go up and in instead of down like they are designed. Notching or pre bending is helpful.

The ends broke right off and just barely sitting on top of the trailing ARM bolt... How long do you think that will last?
