With that^^ what i do on my mopars is wrap a chain tight around back of leaf pack and run a chain toward hump a little ways. (not very long, just long enough so when trunk starts to roll it pulls leaf pack with) take the chain and bolt it thru the uni body rail. That way it all rolls together and holds if hanger breaks

I've been busting ass trying to get the car finished for a derby tomorrow night, sorry for the lack of pictures. I'm planning on posting a bunch of finished pictures once its done. All that's left is to weld a couple plates on the doors, paint, and a few very small things. I went to take the car for a test drive last night, and the freshly rebuilt th475 is non-responsive after putting 3 gallons of fluid in it. I'm hoping that once I add a couple more quarts this evening it'll work, but it doesn't even try to pull or act like it has a load on it at all in any gear even if I rev it. Needless to say, I'm quite frustrated with it and not sure what's going to transpire. We'll see how this evening goes... It may be for sell soon lmao.

Is the converter new and did you put fluid in it before installing?

Is the converter new and did you put fluid in it before installing? The torque converter is used and came out of the metric caddy I shared a picture of that we ran a couples months ago. Everything is hooked up right and the same way as I've done for the past 8 years. I havent touched the suicide since last friday out of disgust. One evening this week I am going to try to bleed any air out of the transmission cooler lines and hope it works.

Only reason I ask is because I had a huge gap and I had to shim it out and now the transmission works as it should. When I pulled the torque convertor forward it pulled it out too far and didn't engage the pump.

I know it was right, I've installed a lot of transmissions over the past 20 years. It seems as though the s clip connecting to the manual valve somehow came undone. My transmission guy is coming up tomorrow night to fix it. I may accidentally get the car finished this weekend...

Wasn't saying you don't know what you are doing or that you have never installed a transmission. I myself have installed countless transmissions but it was a mistake I made non the less.

Wasn't saying you don't know what you are doing or that you have never installed a transmission. I myself have installed countless transmissions but it was a mistake I made non the less. I didn't take it that way, I sure do hate trying to communicate any way other than in person lol. Anyway, figured out the problem with the transmission. There's a valve that comes out of the valve body and connects to a stud on the internal shift linkage. Long story short, that piece wasn't connected, so the tranny was stuck in park. I believe it's fixed now (transmission builder came and fixed it last week), I just need to get my shifter adjusted as its out a little. It's been hotter than hell here lately so my time spent on the suicide has been very limited. I did order a new water pump, NGK plugs, and MSD wires for it today. Hopefully she'll be completely finished soon and out of my shop, I'm tired of looking at it and messing with it!
