Rules state I can run a cradle and trans protector but have to use a stock trans mount but doesn’t state it has to be rubber. Just wondering what people would consider to be the best trans mount out there. (can use 2x2 thick wall for crossmember)

If you have it solid it can't move so will brake something. I let mine float. But I don't run caddys

Our local guys run hard plastic ones or don't run them at all an make it so the tranny "floats" but makes a mount on protector that is shaped to lock against tranny cross member

Does it have to sit on the top of the crossmember like stock or can it sit on the side/face of the trans crossmember?

I always run the $30 red neoprene chinamaneese transmission mounts from the local parts store. On everything I run. They work well and have some give. I think energy suspension of someone like that makes them. They are hanging on the wall right next to the Chinese chrome air cleaners.

STROMI 121 have you had problems with them ripping? 9r that’s the one I was looking at, ever had problems with them? I’ve only used them twice so not a ton of experience to go off of. No issue either time. The second time I think I may have beefed them up a little on the inside but it probably didn’t need it. Pretty stout
