Do most guys in the Midwest weld in there cages and leave them in the car to scrap? I have a place I go, brand new steel for scrap price. All sizes box tube. .35lb. It's almost not even worth the time to cut it out anymore.

The time I spent with a damn grinder and wire brush this year cleaning up old tubin to weld it,could of been a lot of time used somewhere else...I won’t use old tubin anymore

I cut out major sections of the cage and supports and reuse them in diff cars or usually on diff projects.

Ya we have just managed to run across really good deals for a lot of the stuff we have. We have a ton of 4x10 that we got for dumb cheap that’s going into our spring x cars, some of it that is.

Lol just because we have no need for the other stuff, too much time to cut out the cage, then you have to clean the metal to put it in another car. We have a lot of tubing as it is, plus it’s more money when it comes time to scrap the car. Unsure about a thread for the spring x cars. If I do end up doing one it definitely won’t be as in depth as this one for obvious reasons
