Stripping the car is done, took the full cradle off the motor, will be putting a lower with a front plate and pulley protector on it next but will be changing the oil pan first, nothing wrong with it besides the fact it doesn’t have a drain plug. Started working on the rear end, put the axle savers on, next will be the pinion brake, I love the way the axle savers look and how they go on, FTM derby products built them, they are split so all you have to do unbolt, put one half on them put the second half on and bolt together, you weld the backing plate to the housing but that’s it, the rest can unbolt to change angles and what not. What do you guys think about the axle savers? Those are cool as hell!!!...Will def work good and yes...easy install as well. Nice!

August 11th in milledgeville Illinois, 3k to win but I’m really considering going for the mad dog trophy and money, wouldn’t be a bad deal either way for a first derby.

Ive never been to that derby but have heard from alot of guys its a good show. Decent rules...payouts...inspectors etc. Good show to run is what ive heard.

We’ve gone pretty much every year, just haven’t ran, it should be a good time, hoping to have some guys to run with but we’ll see, I really don’t care one way or another

Think we found the true purpose of outdoor clothes lines, quickly got some parts painted so they don’t end up rusting. Team colors are grey and tan with orange stripe dividing just so you guys get an idea

so youre allowed 12 pieces of all-thread? Well that would just depend on where your running. But i think it was Chambliss that makes them if i remember correctly...along with a few other designs.

Chambliss welding has a website, he makes them, I’m not using all of them, that’s just what we bought since there was a good price, just so we have something uniform and good looking. Figured why not. Allowed 4 pieces of all thread in and 2 in back but up front I’m using a couple pieces of angle instead of all thread.

They make more than just derby stuff also. Bought a few things from them at Spring X myself. Pretty good guy to deal with.

Chambliss is a great guy to deal with, great products at good prices, pretty sure there hasn’t been one derby that has gone by in 2 years that we’ve been to that we haven’t bought something from him if he is there vending
