why not spread the money towards the other classes that dont get as much of a payout??? not trying to be greedy but other classes put in the same amount and effort, if not more, and get the short end of the stick. last year u give a "predator award" to two fullsize cars. $1000 bucks to fullsize heat and another $1000 to fullsize feature. team show didnt get a dime for anything like that. if you want more teams than last year, u better put up more $$, unless u already are then I retract these remarks. I like ya nick and you do a great job, but there is no reason every class cant be treated equally. im looking forward to this weekends show at winterslam. each class has 4 places for heavy hitter as well as paying out 5 places in each class as well. big show and a great promotor (who is also a driver) who is all bout the drivers cuz they put on the show. deff wish more shows around here were done in the same format. equal across the board. just my .02.

I say basic engine cradle with pulley protector and no sway bar or no PP and can have sway bar... is fair and any lower mount for them too. Not gaining anything from the lower besides it won't rip off. Or a guy just welds a chain from cradle to frame engine cradle...

Just a idea, what if you made this a 2 man fullsize team derby for sunday ?
Why I say this from what I've seen in the past,I think it would be very hard for one person by themselves to win.
Seems to me most people who run this derby shows up with a team or becomes friends with someone for the day.
IMO,this would make it more fair for everyone.Have heats as 2 on 2,run it down to top car moves onto feature (if its team mates and they choose to shut off) only 1 goes to feature event.Have consi before feature for people who didn't qualify.
JMO,its hard to beat the numbers game or several drivers who spend the money on quality parts running together.
Either way this is one of my favorite demolition derbys of the year we attend.

Hard to do 2 man teams but what about 3-4 man team? Would that entice more guys or just make it more complicated? Would it change the feature outcome? Draw in more diverse group?

How about $1000 bonus to a driver without the last name Diemel or Johnson since those are the only names I recall winning this derby in last 10 years or so 😂 JK Banning wagons and vics now that's funny too better not forget caddy's rivs and any other old iron that has placed in top 5! Haha

One problem I think this derby has is the thought that there is a need to keep "changing it up" to "entice" new drivers draw in different groups or change the outcome. I recall last year Sunday pits were full I had to park one of our trucks outside of pits, had a good car count and heard rumors of too many cars blah blah. If pits are full and stands are full why are you wanting to change? I don't know that there is room for expansion? In my honest opinion the drivers that have been driving in this show whether they are the guy in the feature winning or the first guy out in the heat should be answering questions pertaining to change. Why keep changing rules to try and draw the 50 drivers that pm text or call all year long and go to every show talking about how they are running jimfalls this year to end up backing out at last minute anyways? I say keep the drivers you have happy small changes to appeal to others is fine but whole new format is plain dumb IMO.

Overall format will remain the same for this year. Always feel we can find tweaks to make it better just like you all building your cars. We appreciate all the support and want to make sure we keep this on the right path. The best way is from input from most of you. Working on a final set of rules and classes which will be out soon. Thanks again

mid team demo heat winners should get some cash as well as heavy hitter in each heat same as fullsize class. and maybe not show favoritism to certain teams like pulling there cars off the track when a seatbelt is broken and then pulling one of his team mates off the block's after he was put on them by the other team. and then not calling him for a obviously late full track shot on a car with a busted stick. other then that was a great show rules where ok except making us all cut the extra body bolt the rules said we could run. ill be back this year if payout changes teams who win heats or last chance qualifier should get paid something. as should heavy hitter's.

Wouldn't have made a difference weather he was on the wall or not. from what I seen he was just against the wall. And the full track shot could have been a throttle stuck or thought u were a different car. And so what let him waste his car on a dead car. It's a team derby. They should be able to hit any car weather its done or not. Sticks just mean ur car is broke and u are not able to help ur team mates anymore. And if u would have won u wouldn't be complaining about what ur team did this section of this thread is about car building rules. Not how the derby works. That will be after the rules thanks for the input Tho.

Nick. I think we need a section about how the derby runs as far as on the track. Like the rules of driving. Last year there was some mix ups. So I think we need something in paper stating how it goes on.
