We've had a couple so far, and they were a blast, so if your near the NW Iowa region feel free to come. $5 entree fee.
RC car demolition derby
General rules
During the derby only turn marshals are allowed to touch the cars
Each driver will get 5 total rollovers, after the fifth rollover you are done
If your car breaks during the derby, you are out
Homemade body mounts are allowed. Don’t want any bodies falling off
If your body falls off, you are only allowed to put it back onto your car once using the same method within a ONE minute period.
If there are any parts out on the track, the derby will be stopped and the turn marshall will pick up any stray parts and return it to the driver of the car.
Event styles will depend on how many cars show up.
Light- Build Class Rules
- If any rule violations occur, you will be asked to make it right or you will be bumped up to the next class or asked to not use the body

You make use duct tape to hold the pieces together, but ONLY two pieces per seam will be allowed
ONLY two layers of aluminum foil will be allowed around the cardboard. these pieces may be overlapped and held together with duct tape, but only taped to each other NOT taped to the cardboard.
BUMPERS can be made out of cardboard or wire hangars but must be wrapped in aluminum foil or duct tape
You can attach a bumper in one of two ways; 1. you may run a piece of wire from each side of the bumper through your body and twist the wire together, 2. you may use duct tape in a reasonable amount. bumpers must still be visible after taping is done.
