I run soft white spoke wheels... This year I know it saved me an axle... The wheel was bent badly, but I could still move, made it to the feature.

The crowd goes to a derby to see cars bend and become trashed. When you take away these 2 factors then regular people (not derby drivers) lose interest in watching derbies. I have seen larger crowds at more stock shows than full welded events. (not factoring big money national derbies) same, when the full welds come out for the end of the night big feature the crowd leaves cause the cars don't bend and it gets boring and the loudness hurts the kids ears. but for stock shows people love it cause the cars bend, axles brake, tires come off, fires. they draw a huge crowd no body has too much money in their cars so at the end everyone is happy shakes hands, full welds drivers look like they lost their house.

The stock bumper held up fine, You just have to make sure its secure. We run on pavement and it was still straight for the most part after the heat and main. It did fall off during my heat but when I went to the main with welded cars we ran 1' all thread through it to hold it secure.

They are 225/15's, as for the rims I don't know exactly what they came off of I just picked up four 15 inch 5 by 4.5 rims, the stock ones on this Lincoln were aluminum. When I run a ford again I'll run smaller 14.5's or 14's when the cars start to nose up the wheels rub the firewall. Even with smaller 14'5 mobile home tires I had to cut some of the firewall out to make it back out to the main.

I guess with most of these cars with the drum brakes most80s steels will fit as far as backspace and such.

I haven't had any issues with 15 inch rims, anything smaller and the front disc brakes will need to be removed/ or altered.

factory ford 14" from the 80s will fit fine, most other 14s will need a bigger hub bore or more offset.

Thank you guys. Was asking because I'm having a hell of a time finding ford 80s rims near me. Much appreciated thanks again.
