Not having the means or money is a terrible excuse in my car this year I won't even have a thousand dollars and it's the strongest car I've built

Why win one time with a car when you can win multiple times with the same car?

you guys are arguing over crown vics(/panther platform)...there are MILLIONS of them still out there.
Who cares if they are stock, or promod. its said persons car, they can do what they want with it.

You also need to realize not everyone has the experience and knowledge to compete at a pro-mod level, and derbying would die off as a sport if every town fair derby was pro-mod rules.

Duke apparently runs pro mods and sandbags, in Kentucky, mod cars are trash after two shows, stocks done after one (unless you break something early). Lol The only guys I see have a car last year are rookies who barely make it on the track and guys too scared to push the skinny pedal. And neither of those ever gets paid.

if the crowd enjoyed the show it wasnt a waste....because no matter WHO WHAT WHERE without them the show dont happen. and the crowd loves seeing cars wasted at the end, not a bunch of cars that bounce around and rearranged sheet metal the whole time. i just ran a 94 caprice at show knowing at best i could win $250, i did it had fun, won $100, threw the car away, why??? because i wanted to help the show, make a show happen and have FUN, and its a bubble car, big deal....

Our fair derby here 80% of the people prefer the stock build. We get 80 cars on a Wed. night and then another 100+ cars that Saturday night. And its one of the hardest hitting derbies in this part of the state. most of the cars leave completely trashed. If we didn't have a stock class and only had the mods and pickups that number would drop to about 25 vehicles.

The crowd goes to a derby to see cars bend and become trashed. When you take away these 2 factors then regular people (not derby drivers) lose interest in watching derbies. I have seen larger crowds at more stock shows than full welded events. (not factoring big money national derbies)
