Where in the rear humps and why? That was a joke on his part, someone please correct me if I'm wrong but don't you want to do it directly behind the firewall?

Looked pretty violent, makes me want to biuld some kind of scatter sheild on the floor of my cars now, could have taken your leg off. I don't like it when I see cars with the floor cut out enough to completely exposing the transmission and output yoke, I think it's asking for trouble.

Does anyone have a picture of mid 70's gm tilted.
Next question, has anyone out there done this and what were your thoughts on strength?

Tilted GMs will push back in the S at the firewall 9 times outa 10. But thats not a bad thing if the rest of the car is built for that. I will try to get u a pic later on. Also if its old iron, remove the shock cups and sell them. Short and hardnosed is the only way to go. Get you creative juices flowing!

Where in the rear humps and why? That was a joke on his part, someone please correct me if I'm wrong but don't you want to do it directly behind the firewall? that may have been a joke but I know of a metric caddy that was tilted in the rear humps but the opposite direction... we all know metric caddys like to become a track grader because the rear rails will go down quickly.. this guy tilted this one up a lil in the rear humps to give the rear rails a very slight upwards angle like the new style fords... The rule set he was building to allowed hump plates so it made it easier to do this.. it was cut right behind the package tray and pulled up just a hair then seam welded back together and hump plated
