I always run 15-40 in my good motor. Although it will run for 10 mins full on with no oil... learned that the hard way

what makes brad penn oil worth the money?? It's good oil for one, had great wear properties, doesn't break down like cheaper oils. I use it cause my engine machinist recommends it. Also it is not that much more a case then vr1 I think it may even be cheaper haven't bought vr1 for a few yrs, since I started running brad penn. Valvoline is just napa oil in a different bottle and cheaper, that is what my local napa told me so take it for what it's worth.

Pennzoil 10w-40...
word of advice, NEVER run quakerGUNK...
you'll be pissed off when you find out the reason your engine blew up is because the oil passeges were clogged up by it...

Pennzoil 10w-40... word of advice, NEVER run quakerGUNK... you'll be pissed off when you find out the reason your engine blew up is because the oil passeges were clogged up by it... I run Rotella 15w40 in all my engines. But man, Pennzoil is probably the worst choice you could have made. From what i've seen, pennzoil is the most common oil to allow engine wear and breaks down the fastest. The only guy i know around here that uses pennzoil runs dirt track, and he only has success with it because he changes his oil after every race. Actually I lied, on the rotella in everything, in my old 89 Ford Probe GT I ran Mobil 1, which is also a great, proven oil. If I was to make my selection from the shelf of the parts store or Walmart, I'd go with Mobil, Rotella, Delvac, or Castrol GTX. Valvoline, havoline, and quakerstate are also fine oils, I'm sure, but I haven't heard anything bad about them breaking down, unlike Pennzoil. You won't find a yellow jug around my place.

i havnt had any issues with pennzoil... run it twice, change it out...
ive ran Castrol GTX before... got 1 run out of it and it was black as hell
quaker state has always gave me issues... blown 2 engines up with it.. 305, and a 4.3 all within 3 months....
ive also ran Kendall.. i like kendall but its expensive lol

not derby car testimonial but i once bought a cavalier off Boomer on here that he bought brand new in 98. he took it home and drained the oil and refilled it with penzoil and when i bought it 238,000 miles later it ran perfect, had perfect oil pressure and the engine looked like new inside...
car ran flawless for another 30,000 till i dead centered a 180 lb doe at 90 mph on the interstate.. drove it home with the radiator busted and the airbags hanging out and changed the front clip and resold it and that was two years ago and it passed me on the road the other day....
