Made a simplified harness for the 4.6 in my 2001 ford crown vic. Super simple. Just traced power from the pcm relay and fuse under dash and ground wires.

I’m allowed 4 fix it plates fresh and two down bars, down bars have to be located between the firewall and the b pillar. I have a pretty good idea where to put the down bars but I’m open to your options also where’s the best place to put the 4 fix it plates?

How are you guys doing the metric gm uppers with out using threaded rod in place of the shock. Was able to make old iron upper fit but curious on the metric with the bigger drop.

Maybe this has been cover but I can't find it anywhere. What's the benefits to going to the watts conversion on these cars? I am able to reinforce the control arms but not allowed hump plates. It seems like having the control arms bolted to the frame would be a better choice but I may be way off on that.

A Lot of people don't have a good rear end to accept the watts set up so in order to get the best rear axle set up in there so they do the conversion. Everything is riding on the center watts arm on the factory setting. Also a lot of people are going to the older style when hump plates are not allowed. I'd personally find a 1998 P71....

Someone posted back a ton of pages about placement of cage on floor can help with the bending behind boxes. Any ideas to help with that? Im running dist protector, but started splitting trans from block from leverage between the front and the transmission cross member. Do I cut out firewall now since it's been ran a couple times to stop losing a transmission/block. It broke a section out of my block aswell where transmission mounts at top. Any input would be nice, I guess if nothing else I can add kickers and take it to a kicker show

Bars to the frame will help slow it down. What or whos DP did you have? Did you have it halo over top of engine and tied into front plate and side bars going to front cradle? Sounds like it was just a plate up if it had that much leverage to split the engine and trans apart. Was it bolted between the engine and trans? Steel Bell on trans?

Can't have cage to frame, dp has a halo that mounts Into every intake bolt, it's bending behind the crush boxes, was double tilted at cross member and boxes, super hard front. No steel bell housing last time it ran, was actually still going into gear but I puncture transmission pan on the cross member angle that holds the rubber mount style.i was hitting as hard as possible so that doesn't help. I think I'm gonna unbuild the front a bit add more straps/chain to cradle and engine and add a transmission pan protector to the brace. I can't run midplate and trans can't connect to cradle, the rules are almost full weld but aren't. If you have any more ideas I'm all ears

Have had similar with bell separating from cradle. This is steel bell midplate. Started welding bell to midplate in a few spots to prevent it. Kicker cars made frame do wierd things and spread the 2. Super strange.

So question is there any frame differences on a 01 lincoln cartier edition (with the sun roof) over the other trim packages?

Can do it on the top and it's pretty unnoticeable.
