I use a sawsall with a old blade. Take the blade across a grinder and sharpen it like youd sharpe a knife but still leave the teeth. Just grind off the criss cross edge of the teeth. Havn't broken a windshield, back window or sealed side glass yet.

whats the best way you guys have used to get windshields and back windows out of cars. besides busting them out and using hood cable I feel ya pain,,, as you know,,, old iron cars,,, the glass almost falls out.. new stuff,,,, its almost impossible without special tools.. fronts,, we cut out with an ax,,, wear your safety glasses,, than a torch and a long handle scraper.. rear,, smash and vac,,, torch,, scrape,,

Get something like JB Blaster or WD-40. Spray it around the sealer, inside and out. Let sit for a couple days. May need to re-spray. Use something like a old flexable steak knife, and cut around the edges. Works real well in the sun!

Havn't broken a windshield, back window or sealed side glass yet. I usually just run the blade backwards, I'm going to do it this way now Guys that use a cable...you know that method sucks. The corners always break, and if there is any crack in the glass the cable eats right into it. Sawzall, or glass company are your only hope of saving it.

Get an oscilating tool - They are usually on sale @ harbor freight for like $20. And a long handled razor knife. Another $20 on amazon. Makes the work super easy and no cleanup.

They work good but if your not careful you will break blades on every windshield. Also iv had problems reaching the bottom part on 80s fords. Just get spare blades if you get one.

That's what I use. But let the tool do the work. If you get too rough with it the tool will break internally. Sharpening the blades helps too. Try not to cram it against the metal like the roof. That's what breaks them. They sell longer blades too.

Check out a company called equalizer. They make a glass removal tool called the viper we use them at work. You have to buy wire for it but you can have a window out in 15 minutes.
