Okay i have an 8.5 bia 10 bolt and wondering what gear to go with? I have a pretty well built 350 and run 29in. tires. Would 4.56's be good to go with? Usually wet small tracks. I run 29 inch tires with 3.73's and I love them. I also run a rear end with 3.08's but I run smaller tires to help gear it down some. What kind of track do you usually run? Wet? Dry? How big, and what do you run for a motor?

I MUST BE THE ONLY GUY THAT USES A WIRE FEED TO WELD REARENDS..... I welded mine with a stick on my first run this year and blew the welds apart, welded it with a wire feed before the second run and been flawless since

I cant remember the last time the garage stick welder was even turned on. The migs get used for everything.

if you don't know how to set them up then pay a knowledgeable person to do it right. i always start by using the pinion shims off the old pinion from the rearend. then buy a shim kit and crush sleeve from the parts store. the pinion should spin around 30 inch pounds and backlash on the gears around 5-8 thousands
