I run 583's and they work out nice for me can push like a bulldozer but I run small usually dry tracks

I have a 5.14 gear for a 9 inch is this to high or just right? What does everyone run?

It depends alot on your track I ran 5.13s on a small track and it was perfect but I also ran a pretty big track and it was almost too much

That is what I am worried about is the axles. Running the bigger axle 28 spine 9 inch all I could find here with the cash I have. Had 2.75 gears. And it is a smaller track.

I have been running 3.55's. Not terrible I guess. Just got a new 3rdstyles member set up with 4.88's and i'm switching from 29" tall rears to 27's. Hopefully get acceleration where I want it and not have to over rev

What would a good gear ratio to be put into my rearend? all the tracks i run at are small and i have a rebuilt 305 as a motor? ;D

How do you lock the rear end up on the caddy??? FYI the old iron caddy rear ends are a bit of a pain to weld. Its do able but there is not a lot of room to get at the spider gears.
