S10s along with Chevy Caprices are junk. The S10 frames fokd in the middle and the ass ends on the Caprices go down. If you got it cheap enough and are going to build it make sure you cam plate it right to stop the bending behind the cab.. I wouldnt run it in a stock show!

I bought another 95 Dakota to run in 2014. I wedged the rear and sucked the rails to the rear end so it sat nice and low on my last truck.. The problem is the truck was only 2wd so it sat too low up front. Ill wedge and drop the rear again next year but was wondering how to bring the front end up some. Any tips appreciated!! Make your shocks out of threaded rod, if solid suspension is not allowed, use spacers on top of springs I'm late getting here, but there are also different springs for the V8 trucks you can use to lift it a little more.

If its factory u can run it. Almost all Dakotas r v8. Its not the motor its wheel base Most what Dakotas are V8s.. The Derby trucks? The majority you will find out there especially cheap will be 3.9L V6. I've found several potential great trucks to start with of most makes listed in the insurance auctions. A flood salvage should be fine as most of the electronics will come out and be replaced anyway. From 1992 and up the 318's fit a bit easier.
