Was just wondering Im looking to build a 2001 Ford Taurus and didn't know if I can take the whole dash out including the cluster, radio etc. Without setting the car into security limp mode and For a 3.0l motor ive gotta run a high flow inline pump right... if you are looking for a high flow inline pump a 1986 volvo 240 pump puts out 100PSI and ran my taurus no problem, (just dont get the pump that is in the fuel tank of the volvo 240 its only 5 psi, has to be the inline pump.

It is definitely possible. I've saw it done, but not sure of any of the specifics. Probably a crap shoot finding anything out a bout it. Might just have to do some homework.

I know DemolitionMissions has had a lot of issues with engine/trans mounts going bad/breaking on the Tauruses that he has run which causes shifter linkage problems when the engine/trans flops around. Maybe look into that??

Just ran a 98 taurus last weekend and my dad ran it this weekend in a stock wire class. I made it to 4th before the fan got pushed into the exhaust manifold and caught fire. The only things I would do to one of the bubble Taurus's is trim the core support back to the fiberglass piece that holds the radiator in,move ALL on the wiring harnesses and grounds to where the windshield wipers went(and move the wiring that runs to the fuse box under the dash by pulling it back through the fender) definitely lose the back bumper,a decent set of cleats and cut out the 2 holes in the trunk lid. I've always ran GM cars but this taurus kinda had me changing my perspective on things. The front ends are super stout,I managed to shove the rear bumper on a w body under his back tires with 4 alright hits,if you tie your hood to the middle of the bumper and run wire from the front frame rails to the hood,it folds right over your radiator and cuts off right at the top of the stock bumper. As for the rear...I would take it easy lol,I got a full track hit to the back left and it bent the rear trailing arm,but it also bent my rear frame rails straight up and my spare tire holder went with it. My only complaint about a taurus is every other bolt is a different freakin size and if you don't wire the doors good enough, they'll peeled open like a tin can. If I remember later I'll post some pictures of it before and after, and an after of us fixing it and the 2nd run
