yes the 400 will bolt in if you have the original Imperial mounts. I weld a short length of chain across those mounts to link the inner to the outer so they do not separate but it preserves the cushion effect provided by the rubber part so that you do not break the mount tabs off the block.
Try the vendor section, there are several guys who make both chevy and Mopar engine cradles. This is common in Imperials.

got a question i am going to shorten the leafs on a 65 imp. I want to keep the front under the rear seat spring the same length and try and shorten the back portion 10inches or so. My question is what main leaf are you guys using off of what vehicle. i know a is 21 and b is 39. So i am trying to find a leaf with a around 21 plus or minus about a inch. and then the b to be around 29 or so. So basicaly i am just trying to move the back towards the fron and remount it and was wondering what main leafs you guys are using to do this.

Could you make a hole in the bottom of frame big enough to run a bolt/washer inside it, then weld the hole back up?

im looking at getting a pre pan 64 that has had the front clip and passenger front rail destroyed. I've got the frame issue covered but I am wondering if there is there any clip that will fit fairly easily or am I going to have to frankenstien something to work for it? this will probably be a 2015 car
