The front honestly reminds me of the y framers, other then it’s thicker. I don’t even think it’s as thick as the caddies I have. I don’t have a micro meter to check. But that x brace has to be atleast 3/8 thick. That’s about the only thing I see that could really help it if it’s ran in a full weld type show or using a trans brace. I think it’s more nostalgic then anything. It’s like saying Vic’s are great 😂 we all know without all the extra crap they aren’t as good as old iron. But they sure are cheaper

Do square ford spindles swap into these for extra height?

Anyone have any pointers on getting the front of my imperial up higher. The A arms are already welded down solid. My front bumper is only 21.5 inches to the top. I thought about cutting my upper a arms and stepping them so gain height. I was told that GM spindles and A arms will gain me height but I am not sure. I have a set of upper a arms and the spindles from a 1973 buick rivierra.

Not a single one of the 3 i have had. One 62 and two 65s never seen any structural differences other than random brackets slightly moved but there are several body style imperials that i believe are stretched slightly and sold as a different model package but those are very rare
