Is a 10 bolt bia even real??? I've looked at or owned the following..1970 impala, 2 1972 impalas, 76 electra, 76 caprice an a 73 olds an they all been 10 or12 bolt c clips. With that being said is the a certain make or model that I might find one of the mystery rears in?

It was hit or miss what they came in. I have one out of a 74 Lesabre, and one out of a 76 Pontiac.

^^^^ yep, two identical 75 impala four door hatdtops, same color both built at the same factory the same month... owned at the same time, one 10 bolt c-clip, one 10-bolt bia. No rhyme or reason at all.

1973 WAS THE FIRST YEAR THAT YOU WILL FIND ONE IN AN IMPALA. THEY DIDNT PUT 10 BOLT- BOLT INS IN THE 71 AND 72 IMPALAS. 1971 BUICK LESABRE WILL HAVE A 10 BOLT BIA, WHILE A 71 CENTURION WILL HAVE A 12 BOLT BIA. THEY DIDNT PUT A BOLT IN AXLE REAR END IN 1976 OLDS 98 OR ELECTRA FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN IN 30 YEARS... AND NEVER HAD A TOW PACKAGE 76 OLDS 98 OR ELECTRA....

On a 31 spline C-clip wagon housing, will the ring and pinion swap onto a b.i.a 31 spline wagon 3rd member?

This may be a dumb question but will 8.5 ring and pinion fit in an 8.2 rear end? According to the pictures on page 1 the back cover is the left picture with the diagonal crease in it. But it has bolt in axles and they are the same as the 8.5
