GENERAL RULES 2024
Must actively compete till the end, no driving yourself on barriers. Failure to comply
will result in stopping class to warn multiple drivers or a countdown on an individual
driver and disqualification.
No reinforcements are allowed other than those specified in these rules. Any metal added to
Reinforcing the car is illegal.
You will only be allowed 2 trips thru the inspection line.
NO PAINTING, UNDERCOATING, OILING, OR GREASING OF FRAMES. YOU WILL NOT
BE INSPECTED. THIS INCLUDES PAINTING OF THE FRAME FLAT BLACK.
NO HITTING IN THE DRIVERS DOOR, but no using the driver's door as a shield. If the hit
is deemed by the official to be careless or intentional, you will be disqualified. If you
use your driver’s door as a defense, we will not enforce the rules. If you use the
door as a defense repeatedly you will be disqualified. This will be at the judges’
discretion.
NO hot rodding in the pits! Keep it at idle. Be respectful and use common sense.
Any open door or second fire will cause disqualification. If in a heat, you may fix it
and come back in the feature if you advance. In the feature, you will be
disqualified.
You must make AGGRESSIVE contact every 60 seconds

All persons MUST sign an entry form, insurance waiver, release form, pay entry fees,
and purchase a pit pass before entering the pit area.
THERE IS NO ALCOHOL IN THE PITS. This includes pit crews. If you or ANY of your crew is
caught with alcohol, you will be disqualified.
No harassment of the judges will be allowed at any time by drivers, passengers,
crewmembers, or spectators. Failure to abide by this rule, the driver will forfeit all
money and all involved will be escorted from the premises.
All drivers must wear approved helmets, long pants, and a shirt. Also, all drivers must
wear working seat belts. This will be enforced or you will not run!
Drivers must remain in the vehicle with helmet and seatbelt on until notified by an
official that it is safe to exit the vehicle.
This is not a team event; team driving will not be tolerated
All drivers must attend a drivers’ meeting prior to the derby
All cars must be removed from the derby site by 9 pm on the day of the derby. Failure
to do this will result in cars being removed by the track and a bill sent for our time.
DO NOT paint anywhere on the suspension or frame; if we can tell it’s been painted, we
will not waste time inspecting your car.
You must have a number in bright colors on each front door and must have at least
the size of a 12”x12” sign on the roof of your car with the car number on it for judging
and recognition of the car. You cannot use the roof sign to strengthen the car.
Power wheels for ages 3 to 10 years old. Required to wear a helmet, bicycle
helmets are ok. Use common sense, this is for KIDS to have FUN.
Heats will only be run if more than 15 cars are registered in a class.

5. Cars must remain stock unless specified in the rules.
6. No welding unless the rules say.
7. If not built to rules, expect to cut.
8. No custom-built radiators.
Drivetrain
1. Any engine/transmission combination can be used.
2. Equipment allowed: weld on center for rims, aftermarket gas, and brake pedals, (may not
strengthen car), shifters, headers, lower cradle, sliders, and pinion brake.
3. Equipment NOT ALLOWED: Distributor protectors, transmission braces, carb protectors.
4. You may use one 2 X 2 X ¼” piece of square tubing for a transmission cross member.
Tubing must go straight across from the frame rail to frame rail, with absolutely no
kickers on the cross member. Crossmembers may be welded or bolted into place. Mount
cross member on top of (1) 3 x 3 x 6” piece of angle iron on both ends. NOTHING else
can be attached to the cross member besides the transmission mount.
5. You may use any air-filled tire. No solid tires, Doubles are okay. May use washers, large
lug nuts, and wheel studs. You must remove wheel weights.
6. You may cut the firewall for the distributor to pass through.
7. No braced rear ends
Gas Tank/ Battery Box
1. Stock gas tanks must be removed. The fuel tank must be strapped securely in the
backseat of the car, no bungee straps. Must be properly covered with non-flammable
material and cannot be connected to the frame in any way.
2. The battery box must be placed on the passenger’s side floorboard and properly
secured to sheet metal only.
Steering/Suspension
1. You may run an aftermarket steering column, you may add U-joints to stock columns.
2. No aftermarket spindles, A-arms, idler arms, center links, pitman arms, or homemade
shocks. You may swap steering boxes if they bolt on. All steering components from the
steering box to the spindle must be stock and not reinforced in any way.
3. The sway bar must be bolted.
4. Suspension may be welded or bolted. If welding suspension you can use a maximum of
2 X 4 X ¼” strap. (2) per A-arm (tops or bottom only NOT BOTH!!!)
5. Control arms may not be strengthened in any way.
6. You may run (1) Chain per side around the rear end and up to the package tray.
7. You can have (3) leaf spring clamps in front of the axle and (3) behind the axle. Stock
leaf springs only, no truck springs.
8. Stock shocks only, no homemade shocks or filling of shocks allowed.
9. You may swap A-arms from car to car if they bolt on using factory mounts. No
modification of the factory A-arms frame mounts is allowed.
10. 2003 and newer Fords must run factory steering and suspension components unless
specified in the rules.
Bumper/Frames
1. Bumpers can be seam welded. No adding points or changing the geometry of the factory
bumpers.
2. May use 4 X 6 X ¼” maximum square tubing for the bumper. No longer than a factory
bumper, and it must be completely straight. ¼ X 4” tall X 6” bumper bracket to weld the
bumper on.
3. May run any car bumper. May be seam welded. Manufactured bumpers are allowed.
4. May run bumper shocks if factory to the car.
5. Hard nosing is allowed. You may only shorten to the core support.
6. You must have a chain or wire in two places to help hold on front and back bumpers. No
welding anything to the frame.
7. No hump plates.
8. Pre-ran cars can have (2) 6 X 6 X ¼” fix-it plates. Must stay 6 X 6 X ¼” no splitting up.
Cage/Driver Safety
1. Cage material can be a maximum of 6” in diameter, and the cage cannot connect to the
frame.
2. A 4-point floating cage is allowed. This CAN NOT be done in a way to strengthen the
frame in any way. Door bars may not run further forward than the firewall and cannot go
further back than the middle of the backdoors.
3. Gas tank protectors are allowed, and cannot be connected to the tray package or tray
body. The gas tank protector must come off of the back seat bar. It must be narrower
than the frame rails at the humps. NO BEATING of sheet metal to get it closer to the
package tray.
4. You may run driver window netting in the driver's window only.
5. The front window bar must go from the cowl to the roof only. They CAN NOT be
connected to the cage. A maximum of 4” welds on cowls, these cannot be used to
strengthen the car.
Body
1. Doors may be chained, wired, or welded shut. 2 chains/wire strands or patches per door
seam. Patches can be maximum of 4 X 4 X ¼.” The driver’s door may be welded solid.
2. No creasing, welding, or bolting of body seams unless specified.
3. Speaker deck/trunk may be dished a maximum of 4” from factory location. Use a straight
piece of material to check your measurement. Rear quarter panels may also be dished
and creased.
4. Trunks may be tucked.
5. Trunks may be held down in 6 places with bolts, chains, or patches. Patches may not be
longer than 4 X 4 X ¼.” Bolts must go from sheet metal to sheet metal only. 2 bolts may
run from the trunk floor to the frame, and the other 4 must be connected to the trunk lid
lip. Maximum of ¾” sized bolts may be used. Washers for bolts can be a maximum size
of 4 X 4 X ¼.” Only 2 can be connected to the frame.
6. Hood may be held down in 6 locations maximum. Can be chained/wired or bolted.
Maximum of ¾” bolts. Hood hinges do not count against you for these locations. A
maximum 3 X 3 X ¼” angle iron may be welded to the fenders or top of the hood to bolt
your hood down.
7. You may run 1” threaded rod through the core support mounts and through the hood.
This counts as 2 of your 6 hold downs. No other hood hold-downs can be connected to
the frame. NO lifting core support, must stay stock height.
8. May use up to 4 ⅜” diameter bolts to bolt front clip together in areas of your choosing.
Sheet metal to sheet metal only, no added steel or relocating of factory brackets to
strengthen.
9. Rear wheel walls may be bolted together in 4 spots with bolts no bigger than ⅜” in
diameter.
10. No shortening of front clip or relocating of core support.
11. The hood can have a maximum of (8) ⅜” bolts in it to hold the seam together.
12. May notch/prebend rear frame rail.
13. Must leave stock body mounts in.
14. May change body mount bolts out for up to a ½” bolt. Must leave factory pucks in.

Front Wheel Drive Midsize Chain 2024
Front-wheel drive cars only. This is an easy, throw-together, fun car class. If you want to do
more than what is allowed, build a weld car. Rules are simple…follow them!
General Rules
1. No welding unless the rules say.
2. You may have a floating 4-point cage with a halo, you may have a floating gas tank
protector that follows the tank. You will be allowed uprights for safety around the tank
with kickers connecting to your halo bar. This is for safety only, judges discretion if it’s
used in other ways.
3. All body mounts must be factory unless rusted out. If rusted out, change out with the
same size bolt and leave stock pucks in.
4. May crease rear quarters and, dish trunk lid.
5. Wire or chaining of the doors, trunk lid, and hood are allowed. Max of (2) per seam
allowed, (4) are allowed in the hood.
6. May use a 1” threaded rod on the hood, and trunk. The trunk must be sheet metal to
sheet metal. The front may only be welded to the top of the frame. (2) spots in the hood
and (2) spots in the trunk only.
7. May use 4 X 6 X ¼” square tube for the bumper. May use 6 X 6 X ⅛” plates to hold the
bumper on. May cut off crush boxes-only to core support. May use seam welded full-size
bumper. NO loaded bumpers.
8. The fuel cell may be mounted on the back seat bar and 2” away from the back seat area.
9. Can carb convert EFI engine. Absolutely NO carb or header protectors.
10. Aftermarket gas pedal, brake pedal, shifter, and headers are allowed.
11. May have front motor mounts 9 wired, chained, or welded.
12. Any tire is allowed.
13. All plastic, lights, airbags, and glass must be removed.
14. Pre-ran car fix-it plates (2) 6” X 6” X ⅛” plates per frame rail. 4 total plates. Plates cannot be split up, and must stay 6” X 6”.
15. The driver’s door can be welded shut.
16. You can clamp up your suspension to the desired ride height.
17. No welding struts, tie rods, motor mounts, doors, etc.

Front-wheel drive cars only. This is an easy, throw-together, fun car class. If you want to do
more than what is allowed, build a weld car. Rules are simple…follow them!
General Rules
1. No welding unless the rules say.
2. You may have a floating 4-point cage with a halo, you may have a floating gas tank
protector that follows the tank. You will be allowed uprights for safety around the tank
with kickers connecting to your halo bar. This is for safety only, judges discretion if it’s
used in other ways.
3. All body mounts must be factory unless rusted out. If rusted out, change out with the
same size bolt and leave stock pucks in.
4. May crease rear quarters and, dish trunk lid.
5. Wire or chaining of the doors, trunk lid, and hood are allowed. Max of (2) per seam
allowed, (4) are allowed in the hood.
6. May use a 1” threaded rod on the hood, and trunk. The trunk must be sheet metal to
sheet metal. The front may only be welded to the top of the frame. (2) spots in the hood
and (2) spots in the trunk only.
7. May use 4 X 6 X ¼” square tube for the bumper. May use 6 X 6 X ⅛” plates to hold the
bumper on. May cut off crush boxes-only to core support. May use seam welded full-size
bumper. NO loaded bumpers.
8. The fuel cell may be mounted on the back seat bar and 2” away from the back seat area.
9. Can carb convert EFI engine. Absolutely NO carb or header protectors.
10. Aftermarket gas pedal, brake pedal, shifter, and headers are allowed.
11. May have front motor mounts 9 wired, chained, or welded.
12. Any tire is allowed.
13. All plastic, lights, airbags, and glass must be removed.
14. Pre-ran car fix-it plates (2) 6” X 6” X ⅛” plates per frame rail. 4 total plates. Plates cannot be split up, and must stay 6” X 6”.
15. The driver’s door can be welded shut.
16. You can clamp up your suspension to the desired ride height.
17. No welding struts, tie rods, motor mounts, doors, etc.

2 Wheel Drive Minivans/SUV 2024
This is an easy, throw-together, fun van class! If you want to do more than what is
allowed, build a weld car. Rules are simple, follow them. Strip the car, weld the cage,
move your battery and gas tank, chain the doors, and put a sweet paint job on it.
General Rules
1. No full-size vans. No Durango’s
2. No welding unless the rules say you can.
3. You may have a floating 4-point cage with a halo, you may have a floating gas tank

11. Can have (2) 5” X 5” X ¼” plates on fresh van. (2) extra plates on pre-run van. No more than (4) total plates on the pre-run van. If more are needed, build a new van. These can be used to weld the bumper back on if you need to. Plates cannot be split up, must stay 5” X 5”. If those 2 plates aren’t enough, build a new van.
12. The driver's door can be welded shut fully, or a door plate may be used.
13. Any engine or transmission may be used but it must be bolted in with factory mounts. Absolutely for welding to swap them! You can carb convert an EFI engine in this class.
14. Only stock driveshafts are allowed.
15. No welding struts, tie rods, etc.
16. May weld or chain front motor mount solid.

MWFA 2024 Red Cedar Speedway
MWFA Street Stock Challenge Rules
This class was created to have fun and fun for the fans to watch (Total Carnage). If you come with a vehicle that is
built any more than what is listed below you will not run.
1. Any 1980 and newer 2-wheel drive full-size, midsize, or compact passenger car/ mini-van/mini-truck/mid-size
SUV. (No full-size trucks or SUVs.) 2003’s and newer are allowed. ALL components MUST remain stock!!!
2. All vehicles must be stripped of all plastic, glass, headlights, taillights, and anything else that could fall off onto the track during the show. ALL plastic on the outside of the vehicle MUST be removed before you will receive a stick!!
3. All vehicles must remain stock, ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING ANYWHERE unless otherwise noted, (four-point cage & driver’s door.)
4. Bumpers must remain stock, do not alter the bumper in any way. Factory bumper shocks must remain in the factory location. You may remove the rear bumpers and shocks. There is no welding to be done on bumpers. Plastic bumper covers MUST be removed!!
5. Batteries may be left in stock location and spray foam may be added around the battery. You may also move the battery to the passenger floor or seat. Please make sure the battery is not moving.
6. If the factory gas tank is in front of the axle you may leave it there, but we highly suggest moving it inside the vehicle. If it is behind the axle, you must move it to the rear seat area. Factory tanks may be moved inside but completely secured. Aftermarket tanks may be used. If the vehicle is NOT safe, it will NOT run!!!
7. All doors may be wired or chained in 6 places max per seam.
8. Trunks, hoods, and tailgates, all may be wired or chained in 6 places total. Sheet metal to sheet metal only.
Nothing to frame or bumpers. If you remove the trunk or tailgate you lose that wire or chain.
9. A rear seat bar may be added. It may be welded to post. If you have to add something to get it away from the seat, please call. This is only to stop the sides from coming in, not to help any other part of the vehicle.
10. The driver’s door only may have a plate welded to the outside or inside. This is for driver safety.
11. DOT tires only. Stock wheels only. All wheel weights must be removed. Only tubes and air are permitted inside of tires.
12. ALL GLASS MUST BE REMOVED FROM CAR-including windshields.
We are making an exception; we are allowing a standard floating 4-point cage that will be allowed. NO Kickers. NO Down bars. NO further back than 6” from the driver’s seat. Do NOT overdo this. This is for Safety ONLY. ***No Tank Protectors**
These rules are cut and dry, you should not have to call to ask many questions in this class.
