Looking to run stock shows, looking to run 205/55r15s all the way around… yes i think poor traction but other than that any issues? Any thoughts… i know this sounds crazy but throwing it out there!!

I know why not just run skid steers - just looking at something different

I mean, do you have a reason for switching? If the reason is to do something different that's a pretty bad reason.
Do I prefer solids? No I can't stand them. Do I like 23s all the way around? No can't stand them on the front. But I have reasons for those preferences, whether it be a grip/traction thing, too much more too little depending on what I'm doing.

Dot tires are easier for me to come by, i can double and tube them.. more of a stock build, diameter is similar to 23s.

I’ve ran 205’s forever mainly because they’re free but , forks has been dot tires only for the last five years or so. So can’t run any forklift tires, bobcats etc hopefully changing this year, can’t speak for traction being on asphalt I’m assuming you’re on dirt. Biggest thing I’ve noticed between dot type tires doubled or not. They pop a whole hell of a lot easier when sheet metal gets in to them.

Doubled is a lot of work and heavy. I just run the sidewalls. It is hard to junk a tire they are easy to fix you can even put new tread on them.

Maybe as throwaway tires on the front, I wouldn’t want them on rear.

I run doubled dot tires on the front, works fine. But when I was running them on the rear, the traction is bad enough that it will affect how well you do. Skidsteer tires are much better.

What kind of car, what class, what rules, and what are the track conditions?
