To those that are still on here, my brother Bill Springhorn (Smokey), was killed in his bike yesterday. I think most of the people in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin that he was close with are aware, but I wanted to let everyone know. He’s been out of the derby world for a while, but I know the friendships he made there were pretty important ones. He was planning a party on Monday, and we are going to have his party to celebrate his life. If you know where he lives you are all welcome, or shoot me an email at kaspringhorn@gmail.com. in 2007 or 2008 i met him at mayhem. we walked from campsite to campsite all night talking with everyone and having the time of our lives. i woke up in my tent and looked at my truck and he was laying on the bed, beer still in hand and feet on the back bumper.
and fall brawl of 2009 "the daily show with jon stewart' did a segmant called "crash for clunkers" and i recall tory schutte saying " i swear to god if tude or smokey talk to the camera crews your banned from wecrash for life!
