Alright, 93 Merc, I have a fresh set of 80s suspension. Rules say that I can cut and tilt with 14 inches of weld on boxes. So I ask, how do I set my front suspension up to where I can run 23s on the front with 80s suspension up front?
Also, any pictures would be great appreciated. This will be my first car I’ve ever tilted myself, I’ve been around it but never for myself. As far as suspension goes, never done a swap… I have faith that someone will let me in on a secret!

Astro A-Arms can give a little more height, but either those or Vic A-Arms will take a little massaging and material removal in the A-Arm to max out the height possible. With 23s, it will be tough to have a ton of height without aftermarket spindles that can give you extra height. There are some aftermarket ball joints that you can use that have a longer shank on the biggest part of the pin to give you a little extra height there, but it comes at somewhat if a cost of having a longer, and more likely to bend balljoint. Cutting and tilting has not as much to do with suspension as it does ride height. Set your rear rails to the height where you want them (I do this on jackstands), and tilt the frame up front till its level. After all this, I go through the work of setting suspension and basically getting the suspension to the point where I can remove the jack stands and the car frame stays where it is.
