Just ran my first derby. Did the windshield/glass class. Over all the car held up amazing. I did end up breaking a tie rod in the finale. But the problem was my car wouldn’t move in any gear. It seemed like wen the trans got to hot it wouldn’t move. It happened in my heat. I got pulled out to the pits. Went to start it up for the finale after 45 minutes & it worked fine. But about 15 minutes in the finale it happened again. Is this do to a sensor that i should bypass? That’s the only thing I’ve found. 3.8 series 2 2001 Buick lesabre

Is it trans or limp mode in engine? Does the engine still wanna run good but trans won't engage? Need to pull the temp sensor out and plug hole in engine to keep it from getting to warm to go into limp mode... If that is what is going on
