Please read carefully. If car does not pass inspection or driver is unwilling to change car to pass inspection, absolutely no refunds!!! All rules will be followed or you will not run! If it does not say it in the rules – don’t just assume you can do it. CALL FIRST!!!!
THE ANY COUNTY FAIR HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ENTRY AND SPECTATOR ADMITTANCE.
1. Pit gate opens at 3 pm Derby starts at 7 pm
2. An entry fee of $40 will be charged for each car entered. $30 for passenger. $25 for pit passes Fees must be paid prior to inspection. KIDS AGES 13 and over $25, 5-12 $10 and 4 and under are free. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE DUE TO FAILURE TO MEET REGULATIONS! All cars should be signed in 1 hour before race time and inspected one hour before race time. Late fee will apply, example after 6:00 pm, if show starts at 7:00 pm and 2:00 pm if the shows starts at 3:00 pm. drivers $100 and riders $50. This is to ensure the race starts on time.

GENERAL RULES
3. Top five in feature must actively compete at end, no driving yourself on barriers or dirt berms. Failure to comply could result in complete restart with all feature qualifiers actively competing again or disqualification.
4. No reinforcements allowed other than specified in these rules. Any metal added to reinforce the car is illegal. You will only be allowed 2 trips thru the inspection line.
5. NO PAINTING, UNDERCOATING, OILING OR GREASING OF FRAMES. YOU WILL NOT BE INSPECTED. THIS INCLUDES PAINTING OF THE FRAME FLAT BLACK.
6. NO HITTING IN DRIVERS DOOR, but no using driver door as a shield. If the hit is deemed by the official to be careless or intentional, you will be disqualified. If you use your driver’s door as a defense, we will not enforce the rules. If you use the door as a defense repeatedly you will be disqualified. This will be at the judges’ discretion.
7. NO hot-rodding in the pits! Keep it at an idle.
8. Any open door or second fire will cause disqualification. If in a heat, you may fix it and come back in the consolation. In the feature, you will be disqualified.
9. You must make AGGRESSIVE contact every 60 seconds.
10. Sandbagging is not tolerated and will be strictly enforced. Locking up the brakes prior to a hit for anything other than a driver’s door will be cause for disqualification. The fans pay to see a show, put one on for them!
11. IF YOU THINK SOMEONE IS SANDBAGGING, HIT THEIR CAR WITH YOUR CAR ON THE TRACK.
12. Winning cars plus three out of the money must remain on track until released by officials, or will not be paid prize money. Cars are subject to re-inspection before any prize money is handed out. Cars found illegal will be stripped of all prize money for that event.
13. Any questions or controversies will be discussed at the drivers meeting
14. YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST A 12” X 12” ROOF SIGN WITH YOUR CAR NUMBER ON IT.
15. All drivers must pick up trophies and earnings at the completion of the event, or forfeit. They will not be available after that date.
16. All persons MUST sign entry form, insurance waiver, release form, pay entry fees, and purchase pit pass before entering pit area.
17. THERE IS NO ALCOHOL IN THE PITS. This includes pit crews. If you or ANY of your crew is caught with alcohol, you will be disqualified.
18. No harassing of the judges will be allowed at any time by drivers, passengers, crewmembers or spectators. Failure to abide by this rule, the driver will forfeit all money and all involved will be escorted from premises.
19. Registration forms will be filled out the day of the event. All drivers must be at least 16 years of age; drivers 16 and 17 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a minor release form
20. All drivers must wear approved helmets, eye protection either safety glasses or visor on helmet, long pants, and shirt. Also all drivers and riders must wear working seat belts. This will be enforced in 2021 or you will not run!!!!
21. - Drivers must remain in the vehicle with helmet, seatbelt and eye protection on until notified by an official that it is safe to exit the vehicle.
22. A driver that receives a black flag for an intentional door hit will be disqualified from all competition for that night. A driver that receives a black flag for sandbagging or 1 fire in the interior of the car will be disqualified. 2 fires on the exterior will be disqualified, if in heat you may go to consolation. This will be at the judges’ discretion.
23. This is not a team event; team driving will not be tolerated
24. All drivers must attend drivers’ meeting prior to derby
25. All cars must be removed from derby site by 12:00 noon the following day unless otherwise stated at drivers meeting. Failure to do this will result in cars being removed by and becoming property of Fair Board.
26. DO NOT READ ANYTHING INTO THESE RULES, JUST READ THE RULES!! If it doesn't say you can, YOU CAN'T!
27. DO NOT paint anywhere on suspension or frame; if we can tell it’s been painted, we will not even inspect your car.
28.ALL SUNROOFS MUST BE COVERED WITH A THIN SHEET OF METAL, I.E. WELED OR BOLTED (WITH BOLT HEAD INSIDE THE CAR) OR RIVETED. NO # 9 wire or chain to accomplish this will be allowed.
MINI DERBY 2021 BONE STOCK RULES
1. Bone stock class is open to all men and women 15 and over, if under the age of 18 you must have a notarized permit signed by a parent or guardian.
2. THE RULES BELOW ARE THE ABSOLUTE MAX. YOU MAY DO TO YOUR CAR.
3. This class is open to any year except the following NO jeeps, trucks, rancheros, elcaminos, convertibles, carryalls, hearses limos, imperials or sub frame imperials and Lincolns years 1960-1970.
4. Dash may be removed, remove all glass, mirrors, plastic and all decking in a wagon.
5. Stock gas tank (factory) must be removed completely. Fuel cell in back seat area and firmly secured/mounted. NO PLASTIC TANKS, UNLESS in a wooden box 1” thick minimum or a metal box ¼” thick minimum. All sides except top. There must be NO fuel leaks
6. Battery may be relocated only to front passenger floorboard and must be secured and mounted properly (1 automotive battery only)
7. Hood must have a 5”x5” hole cut in it to extinguish fires. Hood must open for inspection and remain on the hinges. You can use 8 pieces of 3/8” chain- 6 in the hood, 2 from hood to bumper or you can use #9 wire in the same way with 3 wraps per fastening location/spot. Must have windshield bar from top of windshield to the top of fire wall. You can use #9 wire or chain 3/8” or 3” flat metal, 2” max width in this area. Just one of the 3 ways.
8. Trunks must be on the hinges. You can use 8 pieces of 3/8” chain- 6 in the hood, 2 from hood to bumper or you can use #9 wire in the same way with 3 wraps per fastening location/spot. You can tuck 50% of trunk lid only or remove it completely.
9. Bumpers can be bolted on with 2 -- ¾”x8” all thread with 3” washers. As stated in rule #4 and #5 you can also use #9 wire or chain along with bolting. You will be allowed to butt weld these bumpers on, we don’t want to have to stop the event to pick up bumpers. Bumper swaps are allowed, can only use a factory OEM bumper with no added support. Can’t shorten frames front or rear. Nothing allowed in the frame except factory shock.
10. Doors drivers and with a passenger you can weld the doors solid using 4’ wide x 1/8” thick strapping, all other doors must be 6” on and 6” off. Vertical door seams only.
11. Cage both front doors you can have a 6” wide piece of “C” channel or equivalent from 6” in front of the front doors to 6” behind front doors. Maybe welded or bolted. May have 4 bar cages welded to the inner sheet metal only. Not to exceed 6” cage material. Can not go any further back than 6” of the front doors. Front bar must be in the dash area and at least 5” off the floor.
12. Tires: any type tire, must be on a stock rim
13. Frame notching is permitted but can not be welded back together. No plates on fresh cars to fix/patch rust holes.
14. Suspension will remain completely stock, except you can weld strut to make car sit higher.
15. Push / pull shifter allowed
16. Push button start allowed

SEMI- STOCK 2021 Rules
1. DO NOT READ ANYTHING INTO THESE RULES, JUST READ THE RULES!! If it doesn't say you can, YOU CAN'T! Or you will be loaded, your choice!
2. NO black cars, dark cars must have contrasting letter/numbers. DO NOT paint anywhere on suspension or frame; we will not even inspect your car.
3. Any year car EXCEPT No Imperials, no Suicide Lincolns, and no Hearses
4. Body components must be direct bolt up only. Must be factory hardware or equivalent in size
5. Remove all glass mirrors and plastic. Remove all decking in wagons
6. Vehicles must be swept clean of all debris
7. No sedagons, frame shaping, forming or folding.
* ONLY CREASING ALLOWED IS ON THE REAR QUARTERS ONLY, QUARTER PANELS MUST REMAIN UPRIGHT IN THE FACTORY VERTICAL POSITION.
8. - Front Windshield Bar is MANDATORY and is limited to two 2” wide x 1/4" thick straps or two 3/8” chains or two strands of 9 wire. May be welded or bolted or both. 6 inches on roof and 6 inches on firewall for attachment. 12” apart measured I.D.
(1 min., with rider must have 2)
9. Fenders maybe bolted together with 3/8” or smaller bolts and 3/8” or smaller washers. MAX. 10 per fender/wheel opening.
10. Cars must have seatbelts and working brakes “MANDATORY”
Body
1. Remove all glass mirrors and plastic. Remove all decking in wagons
Vehicles must be swept clean of all debris
2. No sedagons, ZERO sheet metal folding or frame shaping. Creasing sheet metal enhancements is allowed on rear quarters only, but rear quarters and taillight lance area attachment points must remain vertical/straight up and in factory position. You can change front clip must be of the same make and model.
3. Deck and Hood must be 100% in stock location and open for inspection or able to see into with a 12” cut out (you may cut up to 50% of the trunk/deck lid off or remove completely) or a single 90 degree bend. Must stay on factory hinges
4. Anything can be removed, NOTHING can be added
5. FASTEN DOWN HOODS, TRUNKS AND TAIL GATES (4 each) in 1 of the following 3 ways, NO mix and match!!!
First way: 4 places with ½” bolts sheet metal to sheet metal
Second way: (4) 3” long angle iron ¼” thick max. Back to back, with 1- ½” bolt per angle iron.
Third way: 4 places #9 wire double stranded max.
Also you may replace front 2 body mounts with two 1" threaded rod, you may replace 2 of the 4 rear body mounts in the trunk area with two 1" threaded rod (front 2 or rear2) must be installed to replace factory mounts. 3 inch diameter washers ¼” thick max. Bottom nut and washer may be on bottom side of the frame, not to extend 1” past nut and may extend through hood and truck. ZERO welding allowed mounting any of these threaded rods.
6. Can have a 6” or less spacer free floating between core support and frame
7. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of carburetor not directly on top of carburetor.
8. IF HOOD IS REMOVED, EITHER FAN BLADE MUST BE REMOVED OR FAN BELT MUST BE CUT.
9. A maximum of 20 bolts 3/8 inch or smaller are allowed to bolt together hood seams.
10. Driver door and with passenger door (with a rider) vertical seams maybe welded solid, all other doors may be welded 6 inches ON AND 6 OFF per vertical door seam only. 4” x 1/8” strap. Do not weld hood or trunk!
BODY MOUNTS
1. Body mounts and spacers to remain stock and in place. If they are broken or rusted out, may be replaced with a 1/2” max. size bolt mounted up in frame in stock position with rubber grommet in place, with a 2”x 2”x1/8” washer top and bottom side of bolt. If body mounts are changed/replaced you must cut away the factory sheet metal for inspection.
2. A minimum of one chain or wire running from the outside (top) of roof down to the cowl or BAR DOWN TO DASH BAR OF CAGE on the front window is MANDATORY for safety. Maximum of two. IF USING METAL STRAPS MAX. SIZE 2” WIDE X ¼” THICK, 12” ID APART. CAN GO TO FRONT DASH BAR OR COWL THEN TO TOP LIP AREA OF WINDSHIELD ONLY. REAR WINDOW BARS ARE NOT ALLOWED!
3. Allowed “10”- 3/8” bolts per wheel opening, with 3/8” max. size washer
FRAMES
1. NO welding on frames allowed. (Except where stated in the rules)
2. NO cutting flap to tilt, cold bend ok
3. If running a used car prior to this derby, you are allowed 4 patch plates max (must be on the outside of the frame). Size 4”x4”x1/4”. Must be painted a bright color. So it is easily noticed for the inspectors. AFTER INSPECTION OR HEATS NO WELDING THESE PLATES ON. IF ADDITIONAL PLATES ARE FOUND AFTER INSPECTION – NO MONEY WILL PAID OUT
4. No plates on fresh cars to fix/patch rust holes, unless it’s a preran/used car then follow patch plate rule.
5. You can shorten the frame, but must have 3” of frame sticking out in front of the front body mount factory location (this mount is where your front all thread would go) cannot move front body mount i.e. ford, mercury and Lincoln. CAN NOT MOVE CORE SUPPORT. Also on the old iron GM’s you cut the piece off to square up the front frame if you choose to hard nose these cars.
SUSPENSION
1. Modifications allowed. Ride height and bounce/suspension give will be left up to the driver as long as it meets the min. and max. ride height requirements. Must remain strictly OEM stock. ZERO aftermarket parts, except where noted.
2. May reinforce factory tie rod or use aftermarket tie rods, but must have factory style tie rod ends. NO HEIMS.
3.. A-arms may be bolted or lightly welded with strap no more than ¼” thick and 2” wide, MUST RUN STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN. One in front and one behind A-arm for a total of 2 per A-arm. Can be to upper or lower A-arm, but not both. Can only be welded 2” on A-arm and 2” on frame. Only a 2”X2” area on each end of strap may be welded to A-arm and frame. DO NOT WELD ENTIRE A-ARM TO THE FRAME! NO OTHER METAL ADDED!
Strictly enforced.
4. You may use spring spacers store bought or homemade as long as it meets height requirements of the bumpers
5. You may have a double strand of #9 wire or 5/16’ chain to hold coil spring to rearend and leaf sprung cars may use 4 single strands of #9 wire as leaf clamps or factory clamps. No exceptions
6. From frame to frame behind rear end you may have up to 4 strands of #9 wire twisted together or one 3/8” chain or smaller.
7. IF CHANGING FRONT STUB, CUT BEHIND THE BOXES. WHEN REPLACING CAN OVER PAL 2", ABLE TO WELD BOTH SIDES, NO EXTRA METAL CAN BE ADDED. MUST BE THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. IF RESTUBBING A FORD, MERC. OR LINCOLN 02 OR OLDER MUST BE AN 02 AND OLDER SUB.
8. IF RESTUBBING ONE SIDE FRAME RAI, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO CUT AND FIT THE NEW FRAME FLUSH AND WELD ONE PASS ALL THE WAY AROUND (BUT-FIT-WELD). MUST BE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. RULE #7 APPLIES HERE AS WELL FOR 02 AND OLDER.
9. If your running an 03 or newer must run/use stock/factory cradle
10.IF RESTUBBING ENTIRE FRONT STUB OR JUST ONE FRAME RAIL AND IT'S AN 03 OR NEWER MUST BE RESTUBBED WITH AN 03 OR NEWER. EXCEPT YEARS RULES #7 AND #8 APPLY HERE AS WELL.
If you are running a 03 or newer must run/use stock/factory cradle
DRIVE TRAIN
1. ANY drivetrain allowed with the following criteria.
2. ANY ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION MAY BE USED IN ANY CAR, BUT MUST BE MOUNTED IN A STOCK POSITION. ON A V-BLOCK MOTOR, FRONT SPARK PLUGS MUST BE EVEN OR IN FRONT OF UPPER BALL JOINT; ON IN-LINE MOTORS, NUMBER TWO (2) SPARK PLUG MUST BE EVEN OR IN FRONT OF UPPER BALL JOINT.
3. You may use factory or aftermarket motor mounts. Only the lower motor mounts may be welded to engine cradle only. You may use two 1/2" thick spacers to raise engine to clear steering components, may not exceed rubber mount area.
4. No tranny protectors/braces, stock mounting only, stock cross members only, you may use a 2”x 2”x 1/4” angel iron 4” long welded only to inside frame rail to mount your stock cross member I.E. CHEVY DRIVE LINE IN A FORD. No other welding
5. Lower cradle allowed
6. Pulley protectors allowed
7. NO DP's or transmission protectors or steel bells
REAR END
1. Any automobile rearend can be used, truck/floater rearend can be used as long as it doesn’t support the car in away .
A. Watts link or box ford package tray can be weld in, but no more than it would have come from the factory. For lower control arm must use the bracket welded to side of the frame in the factory location and with factory weld amount for 98-02’s
2. On models originally equipped with leaf springs, stock leaf springs and hangers MUST be used.
3. Leaf packs on all cars MUST be OEM stock. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring.
4. Slider drive shaft is permitted.
5. No reinforced trailing arms, stock only, you may tilt rear ends. You may shorten or lengthen trailing arms. You may overlap 4" and weld, no added metal. DO NOT WELD ON FRAMES.
6. You may weld rearend gears / spools ok. Pinion brake ok
7. You cannot transform a leaf spring car to coils or vice versa.
8. You can weld on rear-ends, such as spring perches, trailing arm brackets, and spider gears.
9. You may run chain from rear end to frame, nothing thru body. 5/16” max. Size chain.
10. Aftermarket shifters, headers, gas and brake pedals allowed, Clarification: none may strengthen car.
11. Any driveshaft and U joint is allowed, may be cut and welded to length.
12. No homemade/aftermarket radiator cradles for 2021, secure radiator with other mines.
13. You may put one loop of small chain over the stock cross member and around rear end one each side. Cannot go inside car floor.
CAGE AND HALO BAR:
1.4point cage minimum and 6 point cage max, 1 down tube MANDTORY to flat part of the frame and one to the sheet metal only per side, no further forward then the inner front door seam and no further back then the inner rear door seam. Bar size 6 inch max diameter. 3RD bar must stay inside of interior of rear driver’s compartment, IN FRONT OF PACKAGE TRAY AREA.
2. Halo bar allowed, only to the back seat bar (in line with center bar ...No further back), not to floor. Nothing can be attached to Halo Bar.
3. Also inside drivers compartment you’re allowed 2 spots/places of #9 wire to the frame, 4 strands twisted together.
4. Drivers door must be padded.
5. Gas tank and battery must be moved, secured and covered. Tank behind the seat, Battery centered in the passenger front floor.
6. NO PLASTIC TANKS, unless in a wooden box 1” thick minimum or a metal box ¼” thick minimum. All sides except top side. This also goes for if your using a metal boat tank.
7. Mounted in center of the back side area.
A. Battery and gas tank must be tight when coming through inspection line or you won’t be inspected.
8. Nothing may be mounted in a way that strengthens the car.
9. Trans and engine coolers allowed. Must be mounted in rear seat area and meet the approval of the officials.
10. May add knuckles to factory OEM columns or run an aftermarket column
BUMPERS
1. ANY OEM STOCK AUTOMOBILE BUMPER or OEM REPLICA BUMPER, YOU MAY LOAD THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPER IF YOU CHOOSE, IT HAS TO BE STOCK APPEARING OR YOU WILL NOT RUN!!! All reinforcement must be in bumper itself or behind it. You may weld bumper bracket to frame 4 inches from the back of bumper, single pass only. In addition you may put 4 one inch welds on back side of bracket or to weld factory shock inside frame (example Crown Vics.).
2. Shocks may be collapsed and welded. All shocks and brackets in stock location only. Do not move! You can shorten the frame, but must have 3” of frame sticking out in front of the front body mount factory location (this mount is where your front all thread would go) cannot move front body mount i.e. ford, mercury and Lincoln. CAN NOT MOVE CORE SUPPORT. Also on the old iron GM’s you cut the piece off to square up the front frame if you choose to hard nose these cars. You can hard nose the bumpers. Don’t want to be picking up bumpers. Again all bumper brackets and shocks must be in stock location.
3. You may chain, one piece of chain per side BOLTED from the bumper to bracket to hold on the bumper or weld a flat piece of strap (2”x2”x1/4”) from frame to bumper
4. Bumpers can be no higher than 26” from the ground to the top of the bumper or lower than 16” from the ground to the bottom of the bumper.
TIRES, Brakes MUST work.
1. Forklift and skid loader tires are allowed
2. All wheels and rims must be strictly stock, valve stem protectors are allowed, along with 10” STANDARD aftermarket wheel centers ONLY….. NO WHOLE CENTERS
3. Liquid in tires is allowed. Studs and screws in rims to hold tires in place are allowed
if you call me on these; the answer is most likely NO! Simple rules, simple build, keep it that way. Again do not get "creative" or read into these rules. If it is not clearly described above, it is not allowed
