Restubbing a 90s Lincoln towncar with another Lincoln fresh front stub. Edit: Back of car is packed in good, with no signs of stress on humps
Rules: No protectors, beside lower cradle to engine mounts (no pulley protector) No downtubes,kickers or gas tank protectors Stock body mounts No full hump plates Hard nosed bumper, so no bumper shocks Driver/passenger front doors can be welded solid CAN use 2x2x1/4 trans mount with 6” angle welded to frame, to mount Chevy drive train
Allowed (4) 4x4x1/4 plates anywhere on frame. Best place to weld plates?

With them rules with no down tubes I'd put one in each spot they belly in rear since you'll be using it alot. And then others right at the front of z box to side rail where they push back. And I'd drive the ass of it.

I ran an 87 vic with similar rules to that. I welded the frame seams from firewall forward. I had 2 or 4 plates On it when it was fresh. I can’t remember which. That thing bent in about 6 spots in the front bad.
My point is I don’t think your going to have enough plates to help out the front
