I need help. I started out with a 350 turbo on my 5.3 tc adapter spacer between the tc and flywheel bolts. Got on it hard quit pulling. Let it set fire it back up pulls fine for 30 yards stops. Swapped to turbo 400 NO tc adapter no spacing between tc and flywheel. Ran ok in heat went back out made 3 circle track style laps stopped pullin dead in its tracks.. shut it off and afterwards fired it up pulled off track no problem made it to trailer quit pulling again? What am I doing wrong any help is appreciated..

You should just need a spacer between the tc and Flexplate, and nothing else. If you are using the 350 or 400 tc, you should only need that spacer (get one from jeffys fab farm) unless you have a midplate, then you need more spacers for the 3 tc bolts, and a larger tc spacer to accommodate for the mid plate. I have 4 runs on my setup and have had no issues with it at all. Maybe just bad luck with your trannys?

Along with that make sure the converter snout is actually going into the spacer in back of crank, I had an issue when I bought one that the ID was machined incorrectly and not allowing the torque converter to pull into it.

It is in a metal style container such as a large ammo style metal box. On ice after it ended one line was hot one was cold? Should be circulating but as if the pump wasn’t working. Also I did not use the spacer on my 400 wasn’t sure if that was the issue on my 350.. we have a truck set up for street running with a 5.3 and 350 no spacer no spacing btw tc and flywheel and zero issues in the past 3 months weekend running constantly.. may have bad luck with both trans who knows

You may need to flush out your lines & cooler before hooking back up to another trans. Circulating metal from one to another???

Check connections if any in the cooler have seen a lot of icebox style leak water into the lines then mess the trans up...

Check the filter. Sounds like it has a plugged filter. Sucks loose dirt up to it then when it sits it falls off, letting it move for a little while again.
