I broke the tailhousing on a long tail TH400 last show my 72 Caddy was in. What are the odds that I can just swap tailhousings and it be fine, or typically when the tailhousing gives out there is internal damage as well?

If it didn't push the tailshaft in it most likely will be ok. Only time I've seen a bent tailshaft was on a street car that twisted the yoke off the shaft itself.

10-4. It didn't push the the tail shaft in to break it, it was just some extremely hard hits and possibly ran over something that cracked it, then on the drive home on the trailer it broke the rest of the way.
I was just seeing what my odds of it being before wasting an hours worth of labor and a case of ATF on just swapping the housing.
