If I have downtubes going to the crush boxes welded will DP matter much in keeping the front rails down, because they tend to bend right behind the boxes? Only reason I ask is the body I have the firewall is cut out.

If the DP isn't going to hit anything, no it doesn't matter besides being a little insurance that you won't break a cap.

Ok, I just didn't know if I used my extreme cradle as a kicker if it would help keep the rails down or if the down tubes were enough.

If you can have it tight to firewall and/or dash bar it wouldnt hurt anything, every little bit helps, plus this would help it from bending between a arms and firewall.

We have used our windshield bars to hold down a car. No cradle just a dp with halo. Ran against many hard cars with it never had problems. Didn't have no firewall in the car. But we braced windshield bars to halo an dash bar. An connected to each other.

Allowed 24 inches each front rail and 10inches to hold bumper on so basically 34 inches of plate each rail firewall forward

If you have a dp I would use it along with all the plate and downtubes to the firewall, plate a arms forward, behind a arm a little and the s cure

The body I have has the firewall gone behind engine. I was just wondering if it was any difference or if the downtubes to the crush boxes would bend first or what
