General Rules.
1. JUDGE’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
2. We reserve the right to refuse any entry or pit pass to any driver or pit crew member whom we feel will be disorderly or in the best interest of safety for all.
3. We have the right to re-inspect, drill, or cut any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules below, you will forfeit any and all winnings you are due. If you stretch a rule, you lose that rule.
4. You may run any 1980 or newer American made sedan or station wagon.
5. Helmet, seat belt, eye protection, pants, and long sleeved shirt must be worn at all times during event.
6. Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in rules. Cars must have functioning brakes at all times. If you have any questions call FIRST. If it doesn’t say you can do it, DON’T DO IT. No frame painting.
7. Any controversies or protest MUST be brought up in drivers meeting.
8. All drivers must pay entry fee before your car will be inspected. If your car is not to the rules and /or you can not get it to the rules you will not be permitted to run. Your entry fee will NOT be refunded. Build to the rules!
9. 12” x 12” roof sign is recommended. May not strengthen car in any way.
RULES
1. MUST BE STOCK!!! No cross breeding . Entire drive train must be same make as car. (Chevy to Chevy, Ford to Ford).
2. Engine must be mounted with stock mounts in stock position. No welding of mounts, bolted only. No homemade cross members, cross member must be bolted no welding.
3. Doors must be chained or wired, no more than 6 places. No welding!!
4. Trunks must be chained or wired, no more than 4 places. Trunks must be open for inspection! No Welding or adding of any metal. Trunk lid must be in stock location. No tucking, wedging, pre-bending, smashing, or anything else you can think of. No welding washers for holes.
5. Hoods may be wired, bolted, or chained in 4 spots. (1/4’’ chain, 2 strands per hole). Sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding washers for holes. Must be 12’’ inch hole in hood in case of fire. Must Remove Hood Latch! Hood Must Be Open For Inspection!
6. You may run tire of choice: tubed, doubled etc. are allowed. Must be a stock rim. No plating, reinforcing, or moving valve stem to inside of rim. No valve stem protectors.
7. Gas tanks may be moved inside of car, into the back seat area. Must be a metal tank. May not be your factory gas tank moved inside. If you relocate your gas tank inside of the car, factory tank MUST be removed from under the car. No gas tank protectors.
8. Drivers decision!! -WINDSHIELD MAY BE REMOVED OR LEFT IN CAR.
9. BATTERY MAY BE MOVED TO PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR BOARD. You may extend battery cables to reach inside but must use factory gauge cables.
10. The following must be removed prior to entering the fairgrounds: windows, headlights, tail lights, all chrome, and mirrors. Interior must be swept clean of debris and glass.
11. Stock springs and shocks. No solid suspension. No spring risers, wire, chain, or weld on rear-end or springs. Cars Must Bounce!!
12. Front & rear header panels CAN be removed.
13. CARS MUST LOOK AND BE STOCK!!
14. Do NOT strip under the hood or move anything to another area (except battery)!!
15. YOU MAY WELD REAR ENDS (spider gears) but MUST be original rear end.
16. You may use 1 strap on battery and/or spray foam to help hold it in, if left in factory location! Do not spray foam anything else including fuse box or radiator YOU will be taking it ALL out!
17. BUMPERS- You may run ANY 80’s/ 90’s model stock bumper. You may have 4 - 1” welds per corner to mount bumper.
18. You may notch the rear frame in the rear bumper tube section. This is to help the car roll in the back. This don't mean you can tuck the trunk, this don't mean you can alter the trunk lid in anyway, speaker deck, taillight panel or anything else you can think of. You may remove trunk lid completely. This means you can slice the top of the frame in one place per side in the rear 12" of frame to help it roll. Take advantage of this rule and you will lose the rule.
19. If you are doing anything to alter the car in anyway other than what is stated in the rules don’t, there are no grey areas!!!! Everything you are permitted to do in this class is listed above. If your unsure about something just read the rules. If it doesn’t specifically say you can do it then the answer is NO.
20. Read all the rules carefully and follow them! It will be a cheap easy build. STOCK IS THE KEY WORD!!! Any questions call! There will be NO stretching, bending of any rules. You will go home!!!
