What is everyone doing for power steering pumps/hoses when using a stock 302 for a stock show? I know of getting the brackets off a newer explorer to relocate all the accessories for a high mount ps pump, but didn't know if there was something else. Looking at the old thread there wasn't much else.

My buddy who runs 302s just runs the stock pump and brackets, I've never seen him have any issues.

I guess I should have clarified. I don't care about the powersteering pump. The issue is the pulley cutting the lower radiator hose when it noses. I tried sleeving it, but it cut through the schedule 40 pipe I used as a guard.

Which 302 do you have, the CFI or MPFI setup?

It was CFI (85 crown vic). I have swapped it to a carb and hei distributor with an inline electric pump.

Are you running the flex hoses or a factory formed/fit hose? I haven't had a issue with the hose and pwr steering pump for some time.

Running factory form fitted. I've tried flex hose. I never got it to bend well with the 90 it makes as soon as it leaves the water pump outlet. Maybe it was the kind of hose? I used a dayco universal hose (rubber with internal spring) when I tried.
