RULES
80 & Newer Limited Weld
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: Any motor or trans of your choice. You can have lower engine cradles but your sway bar can not come in contact with your pulley protector at anytime of the derby or automatic DQ!!! I dont want too see blocks broken. If you run a halo or side bars on your cradle, you must cut out firewall to the same width. You can use after market engine mounts on cradle but only weld to engine cradle not rails!! 03s may build a cradle over top of aluminum for mounting motor but nothing too extreme 1/4 max. Top side only, and if its too much i will be the judge. Trans may be bolted or chained or wired around crossmember. Tranny cooler is ok must not mount to frame. No braceing or aftermarket parts on tranny allowed. Manual transmissions are allowed.
CROSSMEMBER: you can use 2x2 tubing or stock crossmember. This is the only way to attach it!!! you can use 3x2 6 inchs long angle welded to sides of frame to set it on then u can weld or bolt it to that THAT'S IT no other way allowed.
DRIVE SHAFT/REAR END: sliders are ok. Any rearend of your choice, any axle, pinion break ok! Bracing ok must not be excessive and cannot touch frame or body. You must use all stock parts to attach it to the car, you may reinforce stock rear control arms, but no aftermarket ones. All mounting spots on car must be stock no welding anything!!
TIRES AND RIMS: Any tire and rim may be used!
SUSPENSION: must be all stock parts! 98 and up cars can not change watts to regular. Rear end has too be built for watts. You may swap upper control arms and spindles if it bolts on without any modifying. No aftermarket spindles! You can change Springs and you may chain bolt or wire front a-arms for height. One chain or one bolt or two pieces of 2x4 1/8 straps can be welded or one piece per side of 5/8 threaded rod can be welded to spring bucket for holding a-arms down and thats it! You may swap out balljoints. In the rear of car you can chain rear end in with one chain per side no welding. No more than 22 inches high and no lower than 16 inches from the bottom of the front and back body mounts.
STEERING: You can have aftermarket column and wheel, if you change box it must be a direct bolt on no adapters. You may use any tie rod of your choice. Gas and break pedal of your choice mounted to cage or sheet metal not to frame. 03s must run the factory rack do not make your own steering setup!!
HOODS AND TRUNK: You can have 6 tie downs on hood front 2 may go through body mounts 3/4 max. You can have a 3 inch floating spacer in the front two mounts where your rodpasses through IF IT'S 3 1/2 YOU WILL CUT IT other 4 tie downs must be chain or #9 wire or 2x2x2 angle iron with one bolt per location sheet metal to sheet metal. Trunk can be 50% tucked or dished,you can have 5on5off with 3in wide 1/8 plate. You may also have two pieces of 5/8 threaded rod welded to frame in your choosing, but must be in the trunk area and must remain vertical. You must have a 10 inch inspection hole in your trunk. Wagons you can have 4 spots with chain or wire in tailgate nothing to frame.
WINDSHIELD: must have #9 or chain in 2 spots in window opening. Or you can run two 2in wide 1/8in thick bars sheet metal too sheet metal but nothing bigger or any type of tubing!! Nothing in rear windows.
CAGE: you can have a 4 point cage with a halo. Side bars no longer than 60in. Can have four down tubes from side bar too floor (to sheet metal only). Nothing may be welded to frame. Cage must be inside of drivers compartment (not inside of doors). Cage must be 6in off any part of the floor or tunnel. You can have a gas tank protector as long its tight too the tank and at least 6 inches of floor and 2 inches away from speaker deck area and no wider than 24in. You can have 4 loops twisted into a cable from your cage to the frame in 2 locations you pick(not roof to frame)no kickers at all!!
DOORS: Drivers door can be welded solid all other doors can be five on five off with 1/8 inch plate 3 inches wide.
FRAMES: ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING OR SHAPING ON YOUR FRAME UNLESS IT'S IN THE RULES YOU WILL BE A AUTOMATICALLY LOADED NO CHANCE TO FIX!!! NO RESTUBBING! You can shorten frame to front body mount but you must use the factory mount and hole no relocating!!! You may beat in humps, but nothing to extreme!!
BUMPERS: Any bumper is legal just no extreme points!! You can hard nose to the front body mount pad. You can shove shock in frame after you shorten frame as long as that shock is from that car, do not swap shocks off of different cars!!! You can have a 4x6 3/8 plate from back of bumper to frame and any side you want just so your bumpers dont fall off on the track. Pick one side per frame horn not two.
BODY MOUNTS: must be stock do not touch them!!!! except the front two for your hood. If you have a bad mount u can have one loop of wire to hold it down. If you paint your frame you will load it!! No tilting cold bending or any other crap that we all try to do to get a advantage!!! U can notch your rear frame rails to help it go where u want.
BODY: You may crease your car but dont get too caried away. You may pound wheel wells in around tire for clearance.
IF IT'S NOT IN THE RULES DONT DO IT!!!!! We do not want all black cars at this show, your car must be at least 25% color.
MOD MINI
4 Cylinder OR 6 Cylinder NO FULL FRAME CARS
MINI VANS MAY RUN THIS CLASS BUT FWD ONLY
STRIPPING: All glass, plastic, fiberglass, and chrome moldings must be removed. Station Wagon rear floor door must be removed. No broken window in doors. No flammable materials such as carpets, upholstery or headliners can be left in the car. Cars MUST be clean and free of loose objects inside and in the trunk area. Both rear seats and insulation blanket under the hood MUST be removed. Dashboards may be removed. Bumper covers must be removed.
BODY: NO WELDING OF INTERIOR SEAMS! Wheel wells may be cut. Sunroofs must be filled with a security fastened sheet. Front lower fender may be cut or folded to allow tire clearance – you may use bolts, 6 bolts maximum, NO welding. Rust spots may not be fixed other than floor board holes. You may crease cars in this class.
HOOD: Hood MUST have 10”-12”hole on either side of the air cleaner if the exhaust is not run through the hood. Hood may be secured in 6 spots by bolts, chains, or #9 wire; you may ONLY use up to 3 loops. Hood hinges count as 2 secured points. Bolts or threaded rod may not exceed 1” in diameter and not to extend 6” above hood and a maximum length of 30” total. ONLY 2 bolts or threaded rod may be connected to the frame. Front 2 bolts or threaded rods may be welded to frame but not to exceed weld of 6” only and may be welded on both sides of rod. All threaded rod must run vertical from frame to hood NO bending around frame will be permitted. You may add two extra body mounts of your choosing, 1inch rod max must be vertical. Washers or metal plates may not exceed 6” X 6” in diameter and ½” thick. Chain or wire may not exceed 36” in length and no more than 3 loops. Secure your hood only AFTER your car passes tech inspection. NO chains or wire around frame. You may use up to (8) 3/8” bolts to fasten the two layers of hood together.
TRUNK AND TAILGATE: Trunk MUST be empty and free of dirt and debris. Trunks may be tucked up to 50% or you may wedge trunk but sides must reman at least 50% vertical. It must be secured with either chain, #9 wire, or threaded rod; on tailgates you may weld 2 plates of steel per vertical seam NO larger than 3” X 6” X 1/4”. Trunk may be secured in 6 spots by bolts, chain, #9 wire or you can do 5 on 5 off 3in wide 1/8 plates. Bolts not to exceed over 6” above trunk lid and maximum length of 30” total. ONLY 4 bolts or threaded rods may be connected to frame and must remain horizontal. 3/4 rod max!! You may weld to frame but welds not to exceed weld of 6”only and may be welded on both sides of rod. All threaded rods must run vertical from frame to trunk lid NO bending around frame will be permitted. Chains and wires are not to exceed 24” in length and not to wrap around more than twice. Washers or metal plates may not exceed 6” X 6” in diameter and ½” thick.
DOORS: All doors MUST be securely closed. The doors may be welded solid with 3" wide 1/8" plate or you may chain or nine wire doors. NO welding on inside of doors.
WINDOWS: Two vertical steel bars MUST run from the roof of the car to the body (not the hood) in front of the driver. DO NOT cover driver’s window with steel or mesh type material for safety reasons. A window bar is permitted, it may be welded to halo and can go to anyplace of your choosing. The bar can not be any bigger than 2x2 square tube.
BUMPERS: ANY bumper is legal just no extreme points!! All mounting brackets mounting to the back of the bumper, or frame, or shocks may be welded to secure firmly. You may run a 4x6 3/8 plate from bumper back but no further. This plate may go on either side of sub frame, but only one plate per side not two!!! May run any automotive shock inside or outside of frame of your choice or a 12in piece of tube and you can used a 4 inch wide 3/8 plate from bumper to strut.
INTERIOR: With the exception of floor shifters, ALL large holes in floor pans must be patched with sheet metal. Holes may be cut in the firewall to allow distributor cap or other components to move beyond the firewall. Any holes cut into the firewall for this purpose strongly recommended to be covered with a non-flammable or rubber material .Driver’s seat and DOT approved seat belts MUST be securely mounted. You may have a four point cage with halo. You may also have 4 down tubes from side bars to floor only welded to sheet metal only. Halo may be bolted in two spots too roof.
CHASSIS: You may be seam welded from front A arms forward. Trailer hitches and mounting brackets MUST be removed. You may use stock or modified steering columns. You may replace or modify knuckles and/or joints in steering assembly. Reinforced tie rods are ok.
SUSPENSION: Bumper height maximum 22” from ground to bottom of bumper and it is strictly enforced. You may run solid front and rear suspension. Coil springs may be changed but bumper height must remain 22” or less. A straight axle in rear may be used. Leaf springs permitted, no more than 5 leafs 1/4 staggered. (mini van style rear axle). Rear wheel drive may chain rear end solid and fab up rear brackets to make rear end fit if need too.
ENGINE: Firewall may be beat back or cut out for clearance. Engine or pulley protectors and carb protectors will be allowed. Carburetor must have an air filter. Headers and stacks are permitted, but MUST be completely vertical. Motors may be pressured in to firewall.
RADIATOR: Radiator MUST be located in stock position. Radi-barrels or other homemade type radiators will be allowed. You may NOT reinforce or add any metal to core support. Nylon straps, bolts, steel bands, chain or wire may only be used to support radiator. Water ONLY, please flush out coolant. If you run a radiator fan you must run a hood.
REAR END AND TRANSMISSION: Transmission coolers are acceptable. Cooler may be mounted inside of car but MUST be NO longer than 24” X 24” X 18”, this means that the complete unit including box around cooler NOT to exceed these dimensions. Rear wheel drive cars may run tranny cradles and a slider drive shaft. They may also use any rear end of there choice.
GAS TANK: Six-gallon or bigger fuel cell highly recommended. Original gas tank MUST be removed, may NOT use original fuel tank inside car NO exceptions. Tank MUST be metal, NO plastic or stock fuel tanks will be allowed, NO exceptions. Marine style gas tanks are acceptable. NO plastic or jerry cans. Tanks MUST be securely mounted and all connections must be secure and leak-proof. Stop check valves are highly recommended. Gas tanks must be completely covered. Pump fuel only (NO Alcohol or methanol). Fuel Line rubber fuel line is highly recommended from gas tank to fuel pump. Electric Fuel pumps are acceptable but MUST have shut off switch within drivers reach and clearly marked for fire officials. NO plastic lines. Gas spillage will result in disqualification. Fuel tank protectors will be allowed, but no wider than 24 in.
TIRES &RIMS: Any ply, 12”, 13”, 14”, or 15” tires are permitted. Maximum allowance of 31”tall and 7” width double tires (tire inside tire), rubber inner-liners or solid rubber tires are acceptable. NO studded tires. NO wheel weights, double rims or split rims. Valve stem guards are permitted. Full weld in centers and bead lock/rim protectors will be allowed.

STOCK MINI AND FULLSIZE
There will be two classes with these rules
105 and under
106 and bigger mini vans also but only front wheel drive
80 and Newer Fullsize use these rules also

CHASSIS: Vehicle MUST have factory stock, upper and lower core supports – No seam welding on core supports. (NO FILLING FRAME WITH ANY TYPE OF MATERIAL). Trailer hitches and mounting brackets MUST be removed. You must use stock steering columns. NO replacing or modifying knuckles and/or joints in steering assembly. No welding or after market tie rods/ ball joints/ spindles/ control arms. Do not change any cradle mounts on any car!
REAR SUSPENSION: Bumper height maximum 22” from ground to bottom of bumper and it is strictly enforced. Coil springs may be changed but bumper height must remain 22” or less. Leaf springs MUST be FACTORY stock on the rear, make, and model of car , and mounts can NOT be modified. MUST be stock amount of leafs. You MAY use up to 2 clamps per set of leaf springs, NO suspension conversions are allowed.
ENGINE AND TRANNY: Fullsize may swap engines but must be a stock engine, no built motors at all. Firewall may be beat back or cut out for clearance. NO engine or pulley protectors allowed. Motor may be chained to frame but motor mounts may NOT be altered. Headers and stacks are permitted, but MUST be completely vertical. No carb swaps will be allowed in this class! You may loop tranny lines. Must run stock shifter, brake and gas pedal.
RADIATOR: Radiator MUST be located in stock position. NO radi-barrels or other homemade type radiators. You may NOT reinforce or add any metal to core support. Water ONLY, please flush out coolant. If you run a radiator fan you must run a hood.
ELECTRICAL: Two (2) twelve volt or heavy equipment batteries are permitted. Batteries MUST be located inside of car on passenger’s front floor, and MUST be securely mounted with a 4 point hold down on each and both MUST be covered. Batteries and boxes MUST be secured. Push button or toggle ignition and power hot wiring switches are acceptable. Solenoid, voltage regulators, coils and other electrical components may be relocated. Components may be enclosed, but not in such a way as to strengthen the car. All fuses must be removed except for the gauges charging the ignition system and electric radiator fan.
GAS TANK: Six-gallon fuel cell highly recommended. Original gas tank MUST be removed, can move original tank inside car, Marine style gas tanks are acceptable. NO plastic or jerry cans. Tanks MUST be securely mounted and all connections must be secure and leak-proof. Stop check valves are highly recommended. Gas tanks must be completely covered. TIRES &RIMS: Only DOT rated tires. Maximum allowance of 25”tall and 7” width NO double tires (tire inside tire). NO foam filled tires. NO studded tires. NO wheel weights, double rims or split rims. No screws, rivets, or bead locks to secure tires to rim. Valve stem guards are permitted. Outside lugs on aggressive tires must be trimmed. No weld in wheel centers allowed. This is a STOCK class: NO WELDING of ANY kind will be allowed. NO tranny coolers. NO aftermarket pedals/steering. NO fuel tank protectors. NO rear window bars. NO altering suspension or steering in ANY WAY. ANY MAJOR VIOLATION of any of these rules will automatical loaded.

TRUCK RULES
CLEAR LAKE RULES
All general rules apply to truck class. Only ½, ¾ & 1 ton trucks, or suburbans are allowed in this class. 4X4 trucks are allowed however the front drive shafts must be removed.
Gas Tanks 1. Gas tanks must be mounted in the box of the truck next to cab. 2. Absolutely no plastic gas tanks allowed.
Safety Cage 1. Safety cage can be welded or bolted to frame in 4 spots 2. Kickers from cage cannot exceed the front of firewall or exceed rear of driver. 3. Roll bars can be bolted to cab in 4 spots, and kickers can be mounted to bed floor not the frame. 24 inches behind the driver. Kickers off roll bar have to be at least 4 inches in front of rear front leaf spring shackle.
Box Mounts 1. 6 additional box mounts to hold box in place. 2. Box mount washers can be no bigger than 6X6X ¼”.
Suspensions Factory A arms can be welded .. 1. A arm trucks may have solid front suspension 2. A max of 10 leaf springs with 1” stager on rear, 8 leaf max with 1” stager in front end. 3. Spring clamps are allowed.
Tires 1. Any air tires allowed no bigger than 16.5 “ tire. 2. All split rims must be welded.
Hood 1. Hood must be bolted or chained, using 4 hood pins or 4 chains. 2. Front Hood pins may be mounted to the frame. 1” max with 4”X4” washers ,other two must be sheet metal to sheet metal only . No kickers allowed .
Frames 1. plating, doubling ,or boxing allowed on inner side of the frame from firewall forward only! You will cut if it goes past..NO adding cross members 2. Bend repair- 2” past bend ¼” thick plate on 2 sides per bend. If it doesn’t pass you will have the option to cut plates off completely or load. 3. There will be no adding of iron to the fenders or core support to strengthen them.
Cooling System Radiators must be in stock position. 1. Radi-barrels may be used and must be mounted in original radiator position and may have one guesset per frame rail no more than 4” tall 2. You may choose to not run a cooling system at all. 3. Electric fuel pump and transmission coolers are allowed.
Body Welds Doors, Tailgates, Box & Cab may be welded or chained. If welded you may use 4” wide by 1/8” thick.
Engine Mounting May be modified to hold engine in place. 1. Engines may be welded or chained in two spots, one per frame rail. 2. No more forward than water pump pulley and may not go past the first spark plug on the engine block. 3. Engine mount plate that is welded to the frame cannot exceed 6” of welding on the frame. You may run rear end engine mounts only to secure engine, 1 mount per side..
Bumpers 1. Any automotive bumper front or rear. You may run stuffed bumper, homemade V-bumpers allowed with the center of the V to backside of bumper cannot exceed 8” 2. Bumpers may be welded on with angle iron no more than 4”X 4” X 3/8 3. You may choose to use a 4”X4”X 1/8” square tubing no longer than 60”. Chrome skin must be welded over.

RULES
80 & Newer Limited Weld
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: Any motor or trans of your choice. You can have lower engine cradles but your sway bar can not come in contact with your pulley protector at anytime of the derby or automatic DQ!!! I dont want too see blocks broken. If you run a halo or side bars on your cradle, you must cut out firewall to the same width. You can use after market engine mounts on cradle but only weld to engine cradle not rails!! 03s may build a cradle over top of aluminum for mounting motor but nothing too extreme 1/4 max. Top side only, and if its too much i will be the judge. Trans may be bolted or chained or wired around crossmember. Tranny cooler is ok must not mount to frame. No braceing or aftermarket parts on tranny allowed. Manual transmissions are allowed.
CROSSMEMBER: you can use 2x2 tubing or stock crossmember. This is the only way to attach it!!! you can use 3x2 6 inchs long angle welded to sides of frame to set it on then u can weld or bolt it to that THAT'S IT no other way allowed.
DRIVE SHAFT/REAR END: sliders are ok. Any rearend of your choice, any axle, pinion break ok! Bracing ok must not be excessive and cannot touch frame or body. You must use all stock parts to attach it to the car, you may reinforce stock rear control arms, but no aftermarket ones. All mounting spots on car must be stock no welding anything!!
TIRES AND RIMS: Any tire and rim may be used!
SUSPENSION: must be all stock parts! 98 and up cars can not change watts to regular. Rear end has too be built for watts. You may swap upper control arms and spindles if it bolts on without any modifying. No aftermarket spindles! You can change Springs and you may chain bolt or wire front a-arms for height. One chain or one bolt or two pieces of 2x4 1/8 straps can be welded or one piece per side of 5/8 threaded rod can be welded to spring bucket for holding a-arms down and thats it! You may swap out balljoints. In the rear of car you can chain rear end in with one chain per side no welding. No more than 22 inches high and no lower than 16 inches from the bottom of the front and back body mounts.
STEERING: You can have aftermarket column and wheel, if you change box it must be a direct bolt on no adapters. You may use any tie rod of your choice. Gas and break pedal of your choice mounted to cage or sheet metal not to frame. 03s must run the factory rack do not make your own steering setup!!
HOODS AND TRUNK: You can have 6 tie downs on hood front 2 may go through body mounts 3/4 max. You can have a 3 inch floating spacer in the front two mounts where your rodpasses through IF IT'S 3 1/2 YOU WILL CUT IT other 4 tie downs must be chain or #9 wire or 2x2x2 angle iron with one bolt per location sheet metal to sheet metal. Trunk can be 50% tucked or dished,you can have 5on5off with 3in wide 1/8 plate. You may also have two pieces of 5/8 threaded rod welded to frame in your choosing, but must be in the trunk area and must remain vertical. You must have a 10 inch inspection hole in your trunk. Wagons you can have 4 spots with chain or wire in tailgate nothing to frame.
WINDSHIELD: must have #9 or chain in 2 spots in window opening. Or you can run two 2in wide 1/8in thick bars sheet metal too sheet metal but nothing bigger or any type of tubing!! Nothing in rear windows.
CAGE: you can have a 4 point cage with a halo. Side bars no longer than 60in. Can have four down tubes from side bar too floor (to sheet metal only). Nothing may be welded to frame. Cage must be inside of drivers compartment (not inside of doors). Cage must be 6in off any part of the floor or tunnel. You can have a gas tank protector as long its tight too the tank and at least 6 inches of floor and 2 inches away from speaker deck area and no wider than 24in. You can have 4 loops twisted into a cable from your cage to the frame in 2 locations you pick(not roof to frame)no kickers at all!!
DOORS: Drivers door can be welded solid all other doors can be five on five off with 1/8 inch plate 3 inches wide.
FRAMES: ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING OR SHAPING ON YOUR FRAME UNLESS IT'S IN THE RULES YOU WILL BE A AUTOMATICALLY LOADED NO CHANCE TO FIX!!! NO RESTUBBING! You can shorten frame to front body mount but you must use the factory mount and hole no relocating!!! You may beat in humps, but nothing to extreme!!
BUMPERS: Any bumper is legal just no extreme points!! You can hard nose to the front body mount pad. You can shove shock in frame after you shorten frame as long as that shock is from that car, do not swap shocks off of different cars!!! You can have a 4x6 3/8 plate from back of bumper to frame and any side you want just so your bumpers dont fall off on the track. Pick one side per frame horn not two.
BODY MOUNTS: must be stock do not touch them!!!! except the front two for your hood. If you have a bad mount u can have one loop of wire to hold it down. If you paint your frame you will load it!! No tilting cold bending or any other crap that we all try to do to get a advantage!!! U can notch your rear frame rails to help it go where u want.
BODY: You may crease your car but dont get too caried away. You may pound wheel wells in around tire for clearance.
IF IT'S NOT IN THE RULES DONT DO IT!!!!! We do not want all black cars at this show, your car must be at least 25% color.
MOD MINI
4 Cylinder OR 6 Cylinder NO FULL FRAME CARS
MINI VANS MAY RUN THIS CLASS BUT FWD ONLY
STRIPPING: All glass, plastic, fiberglass, and chrome moldings must be removed. Station Wagon rear floor door must be removed. No broken window in doors. No flammable materials such as carpets, upholstery or headliners can be left in the car. Cars MUST be clean and free of loose objects inside and in the trunk area. Both rear seats and insulation blanket under the hood MUST be removed. Dashboards may be removed. Bumper covers must be removed.
BODY: NO WELDING OF INTERIOR SEAMS! Wheel wells may be cut. Sunroofs must be filled with a security fastened sheet. Front lower fender may be cut or folded to allow tire clearance – you may use bolts, 6 bolts maximum, NO welding. Rust spots may not be fixed other than floor board holes. You may crease cars in this class.
HOOD: Hood MUST have 10”-12”hole on either side of the air cleaner if the exhaust is not run through the hood. Hood may be secured in 6 spots by bolts, chains, or #9 wire; you may ONLY use up to 3 loops. Hood hinges count as 2 secured points. Bolts or threaded rod may not exceed 1” in diameter and not to extend 6” above hood and a maximum length of 30” total. ONLY 2 bolts or threaded rod may be connected to the frame. Front 2 bolts or threaded rods may be welded to frame but not to exceed weld of 6” only and may be welded on both sides of rod. All threaded rod must run vertical from frame to hood NO bending around frame will be permitted. You may add two extra body mounts of your choosing, 1inch rod max must be vertical. Washers or metal plates may not exceed 6” X 6” in diameter and ½” thick. Chain or wire may not exceed 36” in length and no more than 3 loops. Secure your hood only AFTER your car passes tech inspection. NO chains or wire around frame. You may use up to (8) 3/8” bolts to fasten the two layers of hood together.
TRUNK AND TAILGATE: Trunk MUST be empty and free of dirt and debris. Trunks may be tucked up to 50% or you may wedge trunk but sides must reman at least 50% vertical. It must be secured with either chain, #9 wire, or threaded rod; on tailgates you may weld 2 plates of steel per vertical seam NO larger than 3” X 6” X 1/4”. Trunk may be secured in 6 spots by bolts, chain, #9 wire or you can do 5 on 5 off 3in wide 1/8 plates. Bolts not to exceed over 6” above trunk lid and maximum length of 30” total. ONLY 4 bolts or threaded rods may be connected to frame and must remain horizontal. 3/4 rod max!! You may weld to frame but welds not to exceed weld of 6”only and may be welded on both sides of rod. All threaded rods must run vertical from frame to trunk lid NO bending around frame will be permitted. Chains and wires are not to exceed 24” in length and not to wrap around more than twice. Washers or metal plates may not exceed 6” X 6” in diameter and ½” thick.
DOORS: All doors MUST be securely closed. The doors may be welded solid with 3" wide 1/8" plate or you may chain or nine wire doors. NO welding on inside of doors.
WINDOWS: Two vertical steel bars MUST run from the roof of the car to the body (not the hood) in front of the driver. DO NOT cover driver’s window with steel or mesh type material for safety reasons. A window bar is permitted, it may be welded to halo and can go to anyplace of your choosing. The bar can not be any bigger than 2x2 square tube.
BUMPERS: ANY bumper is legal just no extreme points!! All mounting brackets mounting to the back of the bumper, or frame, or shocks may be welded to secure firmly. You may run a 4x6 3/8 plate from bumper back but no further. This plate may go on either side of sub frame, but only one plate per side not two!!! May run any automotive shock inside or outside of frame of your choice or a 12in piece of tube and you can used a 4 inch wide 3/8 plate from bumper to strut.
INTERIOR: With the exception of floor shifters, ALL large holes in floor pans must be patched with sheet metal. Holes may be cut in the firewall to allow distributor cap or other components to move beyond the firewall. Any holes cut into the firewall for this purpose strongly recommended to be covered with a non-flammable or rubber material .Driver’s seat and DOT approved seat belts MUST be securely mounted. You may have a four point cage with halo. You may also have 4 down tubes from side bars to floor only welded to sheet metal only. Halo may be bolted in two spots too roof.
CHASSIS: You may be seam welded from front A arms forward. Trailer hitches and mounting brackets MUST be removed. You may use stock or modified steering columns. You may replace or modify knuckles and/or joints in steering assembly. Reinforced tie rods are ok.
SUSPENSION: Bumper height maximum 22” from ground to bottom of bumper and it is strictly enforced. You may run solid front and rear suspension. Coil springs may be changed but bumper height must remain 22” or less. A straight axle in rear may be used. Leaf springs permitted, no more than 5 leafs 1/4 staggered. (mini van style rear axle). Rear wheel drive may chain rear end solid and fab up rear brackets to make rear end fit if need too.
ENGINE: Firewall may be beat back or cut out for clearance. Engine or pulley protectors and carb protectors will be allowed. Carburetor must have an air filter. Headers and stacks are permitted, but MUST be completely vertical. Motors may be pressured in to firewall.
RADIATOR: Radiator MUST be located in stock position. Radi-barrels or other homemade type radiators will be allowed. You may NOT reinforce or add any metal to core support. Nylon straps, bolts, steel bands, chain or wire may only be used to support radiator. Water ONLY, please flush out coolant. If you run a radiator fan you must run a hood.
REAR END AND TRANSMISSION: Transmission coolers are acceptable. Cooler may be mounted inside of car but MUST be NO longer than 24” X 24” X 18”, this means that the complete unit including box around cooler NOT to exceed these dimensions. Rear wheel drive cars may run tranny cradles and a slider drive shaft. They may also use any rear end of there choice.
GAS TANK: Six-gallon or bigger fuel cell highly recommended. Original gas tank MUST be removed, may NOT use original fuel tank inside car NO exceptions. Tank MUST be metal, NO plastic or stock fuel tanks will be allowed, NO exceptions. Marine style gas tanks are acceptable. NO plastic or jerry cans. Tanks MUST be securely mounted and all connections must be secure and leak-proof. Stop check valves are highly recommended. Gas tanks must be completely covered. Pump fuel only (NO Alcohol or methanol). Fuel Line rubber fuel line is highly recommended from gas tank to fuel pump. Electric Fuel pumps are acceptable but MUST have shut off switch within drivers reach and clearly marked for fire officials. NO plastic lines. Gas spillage will result in disqualification. Fuel tank protectors will be allowed, but no wider than 24 in.
TIRES &RIMS: Any ply, 12”, 13”, 14”, or 15” tires are permitted. Maximum allowance of 31”tall and 7” width double tires (tire inside tire), rubber inner-liners or solid rubber tires are acceptable. NO studded tires. NO wheel weights, double rims or split rims. Valve stem guards are permitted. Full weld in centers and bead lock/rim protectors will be allowed.

STOCK MINI AND FULLSIZE
There will be two classes with these rules
105 and under
106 and bigger mini vans also but only front wheel drive
80 and Newer Fullsize use these rules also

CHASSIS: Vehicle MUST have factory stock, upper and lower core supports – No seam welding on core supports. (NO FILLING FRAME WITH ANY TYPE OF MATERIAL). Trailer hitches and mounting brackets MUST be removed. You must use stock steering columns. NO replacing or modifying knuckles and/or joints in steering assembly. No welding or after market tie rods/ ball joints/ spindles/ control arms. Do not change any cradle mounts on any car!
REAR SUSPENSION: Bumper height maximum 22” from ground to bottom of bumper and it is strictly enforced. Coil springs may be changed but bumper height must remain 22” or less. Leaf springs MUST be FACTORY stock on the rear, make, and model of car , and mounts can NOT be modified. MUST be stock amount of leafs. You MAY use up to 2 clamps per set of leaf springs, NO suspension conversions are allowed.
ENGINE AND TRANNY: Fullsize may swap engines but must be a stock engine, no built motors at all. Firewall may be beat back or cut out for clearance. NO engine or pulley protectors allowed. Motor may be chained to frame but motor mounts may NOT be altered. Headers and stacks are permitted, but MUST be completely vertical. No carb swaps will be allowed in this class! You may loop tranny lines. Must run stock shifter, brake and gas pedal.
RADIATOR: Radiator MUST be located in stock position. NO radi-barrels or other homemade type radiators. You may NOT reinforce or add any metal to core support. Water ONLY, please flush out coolant. If you run a radiator fan you must run a hood.
ELECTRICAL: Two (2) twelve volt or heavy equipment batteries are permitted. Batteries MUST be located inside of car on passenger’s front floor, and MUST be securely mounted with a 4 point hold down on each and both MUST be covered. Batteries and boxes MUST be secured. Push button or toggle ignition and power hot wiring switches are acceptable. Solenoid, voltage regulators, coils and other electrical components may be relocated. Components may be enclosed, but not in such a way as to strengthen the car. All fuses must be removed except for the gauges charging the ignition system and electric radiator fan.
GAS TANK: Six-gallon fuel cell highly recommended. Original gas tank MUST be removed, can move original tank inside car, Marine style gas tanks are acceptable. NO plastic or jerry cans. Tanks MUST be securely mounted and all connections must be secure and leak-proof. Stop check valves are highly recommended. Gas tanks must be completely covered. Pump fuel only (NO Alcohol or methanol). Fuel Line rubber fuel line is highly recommended from gas tank to fuel pump. No screws, rivets, or bead locks to secure tires to rim. Valve stem guards are permitted. Outside lugs on aggressive tires must be trimmed. No weld in wheel centers allowed. This is a STOCK class: NO WELDING of ANY kind will be allowed. NO tranny coolers. NO aftermarket pedals/steering. NO fuel tank protectors. NO rear window bars. NO altering suspension or steering in ANY WAY. ANY MAJOR VIOLATION of any of these rules will automatical loaded.

TRUCK RULES
CLEAR LAKE RULES
All general rules apply to truck class. Only ½, ¾ & 1 ton trucks, or suburbans are allowed in this class. 4X4 trucks are allowed however the front drive shafts must be removed.
Gas Tanks 1. Gas tanks must be mounted in the box of the truck next to cab. 2. Absolutely no plastic gas tanks allowed.
Safety Cage 1. Safety cage can be welded or bolted to frame in 4 spots 2. Kickers from cage cannot exceed the front of firewall or exceed rear of driver. 3. Roll bars can be bolted to cab in 4 spots, and kickers can be mounted to bed floor not the frame. 24 inches behind the driver. Kickers off roll bar have to be at least 4 inches in front of rear front leaf spring shackle.
Box Mounts 1. 6 additional box mounts to hold box in place. 2. Box mount washers can be no bigger than 6X6X ¼”.
Suspensions Factory A arms can be welded .. 1. A arm trucks may have solid front suspension 2. A max of 10 leaf springs with 1” stager on rear, 8 leaf max with 1” stager in front end. 3. Spring clamps are allowed.
Tires 1. Any air tires allowed no bigger than 16.5 “ tire. 2. All split rims must be welded.
Hood 1. Hood must be bolted or chained, using 4 hood pins or 4 chains. 2. Front Hood pins may be mounted to the frame. 1” max with 4”X4” washers ,other two must be sheet metal to sheet metal only . No kickers allowed .
Frames 1. plating, doubling ,or boxing allowed on inner side of the frame from firewall forward only! You will cut if it goes past..NO adding cross members 2. Bend repair- 2” past bend ¼” thick plate on 2 sides per bend. If it doesn’t pass you will have the option to cut plates off completely or load. 3. There will be no adding of iron to the fenders or core support to strengthen them.
Cooling System Radiators must be in stock position. 1. Radi-barrels may be used and must be mounted in original radiator position and may have one guesset per frame rail no more than 4” tall 2. You may choose to not run a cooling system at all. 3. Electric fuel pump and transmission coolers are allowed.
Body Welds Doors, Tailgates, Box & Cab may be welded or chained. If welded you may use 4” wide by 1/8” thick.
Engine Mounting May be modified to hold engine in place. 1. Engines may be welded or chained in two spots, one per frame rail. 2. No more forward than water pump pulley and may not go past the first spark plug on the engine block. 3. Engine mount plate that is welded to the frame cannot exceed 6” of welding on the frame. You may run rear end engine mounts only to secure engine, 1 mount per side..
Bumpers 1. Any automotive bumper front or rear. You may run stuffed bumper, homemade V-bumpers allowed with the center of the V to backside of bumper cannot exceed 8” 2. Bumpers may be welded on with angle iron no more than 4”X 4” X 3/8 3. You may choose to use a 4”X4”X 1/8” square tubing no longer than 60”. Chrome skin must be welded over.
