Believe he is referring to preloading the car . Like putting it on a rollback with front hanging off installing engine with dp Against firewall. Or a similar process.

Going to be hard pressed for someone to lay it all out on how they do it. Multi step process and if you don't have ever single piece to the puzzle it's a waste of time.

By the sounds of his other post he's been posting sounds like stock builds so cold bending is only way if no down tubes. Now you can preload the front like ur saying for a stock class with down tubes just make sure front tires are off the ground with jack stands under firewall drop motor in an weld your down tubes in an it's preloaded\sprung.

yeah its stock class car so pretty much take core support bolts out jack car up behind crush boxes so tires off ground then run allthread through core support with 2 nut in between core support and frame and thread them away from each other is what im thinking

If all you're doing is acting up core support then what's the point? So it looks cool?

I understand the preloading. Using the weight of the front and engine and pinching engine against firewall but if all your doing is separating core support and not actually doing anything to frame then it just seems pointless. Run that front bolt through hood and suck it all tight and hold all together.

i actually just heard about this the other day but doesn't seem like it will work for my rules.. not allowed to run down bars/kickers to hold the frame there... only halo bar can touch the frame.

Okay, what you are wanting to do, won't work. You are trying to add pressure to the front frame horns to keep them down. But, what you don't understand is, pushing the core support away from the frame rails will only do one thing. It won't put pressure on the rails, no matter how much you want it to. Why? Well, it's very simple. Your sheet metal is weaker. Think about what will happpen. You spread the two, and you think you're doing something good. That is, until you make your first hit and the hood crinkles back, and you have now rolled the hood, core support, and fenders back. This whole concept does not work like you think it does. You have to have a strong front clip, and that's impossible in the stock class. Unless you can do some overlay on the fenders and a couple kickers to the core support, preloading the front will only do you harm.
Now, if you can cold tilt, do it. Some stock shows allow it. If you cant, get that core support sucked tight to them rails. The tighter you can make two metals, the stronger they are. Also, read the box vic thread. There are a lot of tips to help keep the nose down longer.
