The olds has heavy internal parts. It has good torque but doesn't nescessarily like high RPMs. And they typically run hotter than a SBC. There are some people running big blocks on alcohol with good sucess. But they aren't the ones asking which motor to run. JMO

Obviously a 350 for a derby but for something like enduro the 455 will do much better with lower rpms for long periods of time. A 350 can run 7500 rpms but not very long. The 350 crowd is shocked to see a 455 in my enduro car lol
