So I've read the metric and wagon topics for this particular vehicle already. What I see mentioned all the time, is notching these cars to let them roll up. What I don't see mentioned is how to make them hard. Up until this build, we have been stuck with rules that the aforementioned techniques would apply. However, we are gonna be able to add some plates and probably leafs this year. I do need to read through leaf spring how to and ill probably do that tonight. Is there any other reading material I should check out that goes beyond notching? I haven't found much specific material regarding the roof and how to build the back end. Seems a lot of space is wasted on whether to run a gate or not.... LoL
Help is appreciated. Thank you all for reading

WE take the gate off an push roof up above the notch in rear. Look at ur wagon pics also an see how they bend. If they allow plates on humps do it. if u can plate also do it. Also if u get extra plates then tilt an plate ur front archs.

leafs. not notch maybe one dimple way in the back. My opinion no leafs no rear bumper if allowed to change body mounts out and bolt solid. Leafs good hard rear bumper and a gate in. I would leave the gate in for the heat and see what happens with out leafs and pull the roof up... Plate in front of rear tire and humps and everywhere else...if allowed.

Leaf it. Since plating was mentioned, under your feet and under back seat. Good gas tank protector if rules allow. Connect it to wherever possible as far as rules go. Good bumpers front and back. Leave tailgate on if leafing and weld as much as you are allowed. A flat leafed wagon is NASTY in the right hands! With that said I wouldn't run a wagon without leafs, I'd feel like I wasted a damn good car.

If I tilt this thing, what adjustments need to be made to the trans mount?

If I tilt this thing, what adjustments need to be made to the trans mount? Anytime you tilt you might need to lower the cross member depending how much you tilt.

Thanks. Never done it before to any car. Reading the ford thread now to get an idea. Does it mess with driveshaft much?

I have never done a metric GM tho. Just tilt it and try and have drive shaft as straight as possible with no rubbing of sheet metal. Imo
