Got a trans in promod that takes a second before engaging and is starting to slip. I need help derby is this weekend and it looks as if water is in the fluid. But there is no way any water could've gotten in there. I think I might have use wrong or bad trans fluid. Last derby I ran it it was fine. Moving around the pits then lost all gears. Next day it was like nothing happened. Then the other day it hesitated to go into gear forward or back. I'd change it but it encased in protectors. Thinking about flushing and trying trans fix juice. But I wanted to see if anyone could've had similar problem and tried the flush. Is it a waste of time and money or would it work for probably the 4 minutes I'll run? Gonna look into guts see if I can adjust the band or something. Just changing it now is out the question.

I would change the fluid with new correct fluid and also throw a bottle or half bottle of the Lucas stop slip in there. I run that stuff in every single derby car I run and love it. Never have trans issues.

When you drop the pan, check to see if the filter and pickup tube are still attached to the trans.

Are you running a ice box Trans cooler? If fittings leak it will get water in it.

Had a stock radiator cooler leak into trans once.

No matter what you can't get all of the fluid out by changing it. The convertor will still have some in it. Use type f fluid it's a little more viscous. Should give you a little more life for one run.

No cooler. Lines been looped. Been hot a few times but nothing crazy hot. Never thought about the fluid being aerated. Started it tonight and there's a whine that's gotten very loud. Thought it was my belts. It's not. Just gonna change it.

I got my ass kicked at the bash for cash because my filter fell off the pickup tube. I added a couple washers to make it fit tight. Im sure there is a reason that the factory had a floating filter but IDK. I don't know yet if mounting it solid will also cause a problem. A buddy recommended a spring. IDK?
