I guess I dont see it that way. The 80's class woke up a year or two ago and I always see a hard hitting derby second to none. Well prepared cars take some abuse before showing it. Then guys in the 70's wire and TBTC classes have never bagged. Yes, I dont want to pay the 75 for one day either but Im sure a correction is in the works.
An appetite for destruction is more than an awesome album.

Maybe it's just me getting older and after 30+ years just tired of the whole derby scene. My son asked me to go and watch the show.$75 to watch just one day is freaking retarded.I'd rather spend that $75 on my 2 grand kids instead of watching cars trade paint. No disrespect to the builders at all. hour heats,2 hour features something is wrong. it's not a derby anymore....it's an expensive drinking party I don't blame the drivers/builders by no means. They are just trying to get there investment back from the build.Which we ALL know will never happen !! What's it cost to compete at the bash $5,000-$10,000 now ? winning odds 100-1 ?

Tony, I wanna see you in the pit this year! My car won't be in there this year but she'll be back next year. Hell, at least have your boy out there in it! How the legs been? You ever get that tingling fixed? What up ? How you doing these days ? Honestly my junk is still setting on the trailer from erie last year.Personally legs are fine just part of the game.Granted the heat only lasted 2 minutes, but DAM that's the hardest I ever been hit.No clue what I will do this year with the car.

If you think you can compete at the bash for $10,000 you better be a great driver and have a bunch of sponsors giving you parts. You'll spend 10k plus on a competitive engine and tranny. That's not counting the protectors. Then add in the bullet proof rearend and drive shaft. We haven't even got into the car itself or the amount of steel and welding wire. Then the outrageous electric bill from the hours of running the welder. It would really shock people if everyone treated building a derby car like a job and documented every minute and dollar spent that goes into it. Especially these smash it cars.

I'm doing pretty good, just too busy to get anything done this year. Just tell that boy of yours to hop in the dryer seat for this year.

Honestly I love the boy to death but I don't believe he has the interest like I did.Maybe I burnt him out over the years.

Especially these smash it cars. there are so many things that can be done to eliminate the extreme costs and "level the playing field" and having the same level of car (with simple/effective fixes instead of $1000 MacGuyver gadgets) but then there wouldn't be a need for "vendors" and with everyone in bed together.....as long as the goose is laying golden eggs... people are paying $75 to go 'peepee' in portapottys and posting on FB "selling stuff so I can have $$$ to go to the Bash".....well then stupid isn't getting fixed anytime soon....

First time that I can remember that there's no updates on the Bash thread. Hope that's not a bad thing.
