Yes. Build like any other metric. Basically a fancier Roadmaster.

What class are you building for. Stock class with no body shaping, Your rear quarters are your biggest fight. If you can shape the body and tuck or canoe you'll be just fine

Just like any other bubble GM.
Assend is useless, fronts good but not good enough to make up for no azz.
That goes for any metric GM honestly.

Not when you're going against Fords built to today's methods and especially 03+.
Hard to compete with a one end car against cars with 2 pretty good ends and especially 03+ fronts.

Unless you can leaf, gas tank protector, and kickers, then better run a ford or be a damn good driver. Otherwise, if it were me I'd build it and bring it! You'd be surprised at the results with these newer gms at county fair shows. Definitely not bash quality but if all that is running is all fords and your not favored in build rules you just gotta do what you can do.

If you're wanting to just go out and "have fun" and wreck stuff, then by all means, run one.
But I'm the type of person that doesn't have any fun getting my azz kicked and definitely don't like taking a knife to a gun fight.
Stuff costs too much and takes too much work these days to be wasting time and money on something you flat out have no chance of winning with.

I think they are half decent bone stock cars with a bumper swap. Definitely not as good as a tilted ford in a mild to full weld class.

No tilt and no protectors your gonna find me everytime in a caddy. Nose to nose will junk a Ford with a smart driver. Personal opinions. Build quality and confidence and some luck all play a roll though.. in any build

Just depends who's building it is how good it is. Never will back down from a ford in a 77 an newer gm. If rear is done right it will pack tight an not move.

What happened to being able to drive? Obviously we are not talking about going to the bash lmao! I've got family and a couple buddies that'll run junk IMO and still win the county fair shows in newer GMs against plated cars. Drive how you build.

It does come down to how you build an drive but if he's asking if it's good an how to build it then he's new to derbys an won't know the do's an don'ts of driving. But I'm alsi not saying with 77 an newer gms that you got to bag because I sure don't an neither do a few of us. An you don't have to plate them either but if you do it helps. Just like a ford need a plated z box whether it's one side or two.
