I'm building a 01 vic P71 that doesn't have a drivers seat. I was curious as to what years are a direct bolt in. I have a half dozen 80-97 vicks out at the junkyard. I was just curious before I make the hour ride, does it have to be a 98-02?

I think the only direct fit is 98-02. But I've used other seats just drilled the holes.

I like the 03 and up seats because of there head rest r better. They r easy to mount due to they r not ran on switches. Just slide seat froward and backwards and drill new holes and put seat where ever u would like.

Given a choice I use a split bench from an older vic. The problem with the 98-up p71 is the seat frame only has an inch or so of foam covering it where your tail bone is. I ran one once that was enough.I have used passenger seats for drivers just welded them in,a rear lap belt will bolt up to the tunnel solving the latch problem. If it's power seat you can disconnect the drive cable from the motor use a drill to run it back and forth then weld the track to keep it set.
