Could someone tell me what size of hose and fittings I will need to make a loop line for my 350 transmission? How long of hose should I get made?

I usually just get a steel line from the parts store and bend it around something round. No rubber line required.

Thanks, do you know what size of fittings I will need for the steel line? Have you had pretty decent luck when you do just loop them?

Ran them for years in stock shows because we were not allowed added coolers.

Obviously a cooler will make the transmission run cooler and last longer. But looping will work for short heats.

For several years we have just used hydraulic hoses and put the correct fittings on we make the hydraulic hose long and let it lay on the floor or zip strip it up to the back cage seat bar this works great and haven't had problems burning up trannys

I have never looped them, I have always ran lines up to the radiator with the factory cooler. Usually works fine till you break a radiator.

I got fourth in my first feature because my transmission fluid leaked into my radiator or the other way around. I don't remember exactly it was so long ago. Either way, I have never ran the factory cooler again. Worst part is that the car was still straight.
