Anyone got any pics of modified newer gm cars like 1977 newer cars only pics I really see are stock builds. I'm in the process of building a modified gm and was looking for ideas on building it.

we-crash.proboards.com/thread/14159we-crash.proboards.com/thread/14160Here's the 77 an newer pic threads. All ur going to see in pics is the tilting, cages, an body creasing. No one's gonna show where the get creative with the welder on here. If you read the threads where they bend at that's where u need to focus an slow down the bending. If u run a cradle it helps alot. That can hold the car straight from motor mounts to tranny cross member. Then depending on rules u build ur cage to reinforce the cradle. Then hump plates in rear or leafs with gas tank protector an weld trunk closed but make a weak spot for it to roll if hump plates. Then pick some of the longest bumper shocks ur rules allow. I mean my 77 up gm wagon has cradle with 24 in long bumper shock on top of the frame in front with homemade bumper an lot time put into the time in the right places with hump plates an 9 inch tilt an it will surprise u what a 77 up can do against tilted fords with cradles if done right an time spent in right places. Alot of research on them will go along ways. I read all kinds of threads on here for cars I don't even run to see what others are doing to see what the do how to build that car if there comes a time that I run that kind of car.

80s gm with 9 inches of tilt?
I'm gonna have to see pics, mines tilted to death and I'm only running a 7 inch spacer, with 700.15"s my front bumper is still fairly low, any more tilt and the frame would be pointing down
To save him 99 pages of reading, why not list where they bend?
S curve at the fire wall, plate/kickers/tilt, what ever it all works
Between firewall body bolts and mid body bolt it'll dump an separate from the body, a down bar to the frame off your cage or extra body bolt stops this
Right in front of a arms, if you weld your a arms down on both sides it'll slow it down, you'll most likely have to use a "patch plate" here
Humps are a weak spot, plate them if allowed
Right in front of humps, proper gas tank protector will stop that Remember your wanting the ass to roll and pack in, GM's aren't made to go backwards
If you have all the fancy goodies, cradle/dp/trans protector, fab up a thick custom trans cross member and tie it all together
